Believe the bad reviews and stay away! I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 8 years and they were great pre-pandemic. The last 3 times I’ve been to this store I have be dissatisfied. One time the burgers were extremely salty. Second time, my beef was burnt and barbecue sauce was added to my order which I didn’t ask for. Third time, I was given a completely wrong order after waiting 30 minutes for 1 chicken burger and 1 milkshake. This store had so much potential. I spoke with the owner years ago and he was a super nice guy but the day to day operations are poorly managed. Unlike years ago in this neighborhood there are many options for burgers including 2 Shake Shacks, a Chick-fil-A, and a new burger store on Fulton called “SMASHED”. I literally wasted $15.00 on a burger I could not eat and a shake that had completely melted after waiting 30 minutes for the burger.
Waited 40, yes FORTY minutes for just a burger and fries. When they came out they were cold. People kept walking between the kitchen and order counter but no food was coming out. There were 5 delivery drivers waiting and 14 in store customers waiting. ALL with no food received. They kept looking though bags figuring out what was missing. Only 1 fry every 4 minutes was coming out of the kitchen and when burgers came out the person prepping the bags was pushing them back into the kitchen. When the food was received the burger was room temp and the same with the fry's. The fries we're also the most oily I've ever had. The food was fine but it wasn't even warm and was super oily.
Food great. Service at the register not so much.. I don't need to know your going on your break especially when you breeze out from the back and everyone including you were ignoring me like I had the cooties and when I've been standing there for five minutes waiting to be served. My husband needed to eat badly. He is not well and suddenly was ready to eat rare for him. I figured a smashburger would provide some fat and flavor all in one. Your burgers and fries are great better than all the fast food chains. But I was hurt and embarrassed that day had it not been imperative to feed my husband I would have walked out.
I love really smashburger but this one on Dekalb Ave in Brooklyn was by far the worst smashburger I've ever been to. Not only did I have to wait 45 minutes to get my food, my order was wrong as well so I had to wait another 15 minutes so they can make the grilled chicken sandwiches I asked for instead of the burgers they gave me. I suggest using the app to order your food because that all they was focused on at this location. Ordering at/in this restaurant location is Not a priority to them.
Smash Burger is great even for vegetarians. However, the best location is Gateway Mall in Brooklyn. I gave the downtown Brooklyn a try again...The tables are never clean, my burger wasn't hot. Since LIU is across the street sometimes a lot of students are there.
The food is always good. A little more expensive than other fast food chains. However, the quality of the food is way above other fast food places. They have recently renovated this Smashbuger hence the new pictures that I posted.
Always sloppy, it’s frustrating. For $10 bucks this is an abomination. This place is completely incompetent. OWNER failed to realize that staff from Brooklyn Hospital eat out EVERYDAY. Serving INCONSISTENT QUALITY food will only result in people NEVER coming back.
The wait for the food was very slow even though I only ordered small fries and there weren’t many people there. The cashier was very rude and unfriendly. The food is good but every time I’ve been to this location the wait has been unreasonably long and the service has been terrible.
I ordered for the first time this evening, delivery was great. However I was only able to take two bites, because it did not taste like beef at all. And if it was it was old meet. The taste was discussant. First and last time I will order from them! Not a fan!!
It was enjoyable. Food is always good. Service is good but make to check your bag of food before you leave. They do have a tendency to botch your order here and there! Also....though they have gotten better, be prepared to wait a bit as they are making your food fresh.
