This is one of my new favorite spots! Come for the cocktails, stay for the second round of cocktails, and enjoy the food while you indulge in a third round of cocktails. Highly recommend going with friends, so you can try as much as possible and share with the group. The Lucy Liu tasted like melted ice cream in the best possible way. Drank it too fast to get a picture, so you’ll just have to go try it yourself. So many cool flavors and ingredients that I’ve never seen in cocktails before. I truly cannot recommend this spot enough!
What an amazing find! The ambience is warm very well balanced with modern aesthetics. The cocktails were beautifully made, and the bartender (who happens to be part owner), always came back to ask how they were which was very thoughtful. We tried a variety of bites, all of which were fantastic, especially the satay which we ordered twice. The menu is pan Asian, very thoughtfully created and the quality was impressive. The owners have vested interested and are hand on from being a host, server - that’s dedication and pride in your establishment.Overall the quick one drink stopover turned into a full evening of several cocktails and an amazing dinner. My only regret… not finding Sama Street sooner.
This place has next level cocktails that are equally delicious and creative. I got the 7 Long Years and wow it had such an interesting flavor, you have to try it to see what I mean. It’s hard to choose from the cocktail menu because they all sound amazing! Luckily, for food, we were able to order several dishes to share since they are tapa style and ever single item was worth it. Highly recommend the pork ribs and the juicy fried chicken bao - make sure to ask for the spicy version!
Sama Street is superb. The cocktails are interesting and delicious. The food is cooked to perfection and easily some of the best food I have tried in my 5 months in Greenpoint. We tried the octopus, beef pancake, and fried chicken bao -- really all excellent. Staff was super attentive and friendly. Of course, you can't review anything in Manhattan/BK without saying the prices were a bit high, but at least Sama Street was worth it.
