Great food like always. I've been dining in this place for almost 30 years
I was finally able to visit Restaurant Relax after reopened! I waited so long for the renovation, and happy to visit there to get tasty Polish food! Everything is authentic, home cooking style Polish food to me.Portion is big enough for a meal, but I normally order a soup and entree, take half portion of entree for lunch for the next day.Highly recommend!
A neighborhood staple for generations. Excellent food at great prices.
While it may not be noticable it's actually eat to get here by the B48 and the G train. It involves a little walking. The hostess was friendly and the service was fast. I was able to get my boiled Cheese & Potato Pierogies within minutes. It is cash only at this place but it's interior is clean and well decorated. There is also a nice restroom here as well. Why not check it out and RELAX for a while?
Great little spot for delicious Polish food. You feel like you're eating at your friend's grandma's house. Good food and portions for the price. Very clean and nice people.
OK food but service and prices are terribleWhen you order food and some drink make sure that you receive your drink. Size of food on plate are half portion. Prices are same like going to mid range restaurant with you cannot called Relax mid range restaurant.
Best Polish food in Greenpoint always fresh and delicious . Fair prices
This is it! This is why I love living in Greenpoint. Sure, we've got the pretentious rip-off places withconfused service, generic white boxes with lots of Fiddle Ferns, reclaimed wood and Edison Bulbs, Fleet Foxes playing in the background, small portions and sky high prices but we also have fantastic, dirt cheap, old school Ethnic places like Relax. The place is super cozy and was just beautifully renovated. All of your Polish comfort foods are here; delicious home made mushroom, borscht, vegetable and chicken noodle soups, fresh pierogis, kielbasas, stews, roasts, home made desserts, fruit/cheese filled blintzes and a whole bunch of great vegetarian options. All of this is unbelievably inexpensive. You will spend less here for a full course meal with mashed potatoes/kasha and 2 sides included than you will for a single cocktail at some New Brooklyn lame azz gentrifier.Word to the wise and the truly hip: support theseauthentic local businesses. You will miss them when they are all gone.
Really nice Polish cuisine, I had a nice time here for lunch. I definitely would recommend to a friend. Quiet inside and nice staff too. You also get really good portions for what you pay.
Authentic polish food, they have soups and blintzes and serve beer !
