I tried Pio for the first time, not impressed. I orderd a BLT on a roll and and a bacon egg with cheese on a hero. The bread was dry and hard. The prices are too high, plus thier charging taxes. The cashier also has a rude attitude like she doing the customer a favor. A very unsatisfying experience. I will definitely not go back. Their food sucks!
The bagels are fresh and tasty. But - the place needs a lift up, the prices increased lately, and usually there’s only 1 person at the cashier and the line is a huge waste of time…
Got the lox supreme spamming bagel. It was voluminous and did taste good. But $15 for a bagel is expensive in my opinion. Recently they have increased the prices to meet operating costs.
Take out only right now. I just wanted bagels, cream cheese, and coffee. They have many kinds of cream cheese, including vegan. I just had the plain cream cheese. Bagels were spot on.
The bagles are good but nothing too special. Most people just get their bagel sandwiches. We also got the smoothies. They were made from all frozen ingredients and not tasty.
Great bagels. My partner is gluten free so having a place where she can have a bagel too is a blessing. We eat here daily while visiting NYC as the gluten free and dairy free cream cheeses are truly special. I do agree with other posters, if you are really sensitive to gluten this won't work for you. They place all bagels next to each other and use the same knives and toasters for serving.
I called for a garlic bagel and they waited for me to get there before telling me they ran out. When I confirmed the sandwich when I got there, his response prompted me to open and inspect it. I wouldn't have known till I got home. The man at the register was unpologelic and thought it was no big deal. I hand out my 1 star reviews carefully.
Why was I being charged an extra $1.25 for a bagel with a lot of butter ??? I asked for it just like that .., the lady says .. oh EXTRA butter is more … I’m ashamed that you guys are charging for butter on a bagel … that’s a rip off !!! Lost a good customer today .. I normally spend about 10 dollars a day In there … but I’m angry … who does that ???!
Asked for bacon and cheddar on a hot poppy bagel with extra bacon. . The man behind counter didn’t understand my order at all and didn’t understand me asking for one of the hot bagels that I watched come out of the over. The tall lady comes over and says the bagels are all fresh and refuses to give me a hot one even though the customer before me had one. I asked if the bagel she was giving me was still warm/hot and again she said all bagels are fresh! I paid $9 amd change for that and a LF coffee. I get back to my office amd the bagel is cold and there’s hardly any bacon. The cheese barely even melted. How hard is it to grab a hot bagel 10 feet away from the grill. Why have a window where customers see the bagels coming fresh iut if the oven if we can’t have one. If yiu are going to charge $6 for bacon amd cheese with extra bacon then you should make sure there’s extra bacon!!!!
The gluten free bagel was not gluten free. This is incredibly deceptive and a huge liability for the restaurant. I would never order from here again. You have to be pretty brazen to put your customers at risk like this…
