Waited for 2-3 months and got the chance to order. Considering the delivery distance, the fee is acceptable. But the food itself, more specifically, the chicken, was disappointing. The chicken was neither spicy nor flavorful. The coating was thick and got all the spice, while the meat got little seasoning. Looks like they put a lot of chili oil but the oil was neither spicy nor aromatic. I cannot taste the peppercorn in it as I bet they only put a tiny bit of amount in it and they probably didn’t ship the authentic, strong type of peppercorn from Szechuan. Growing up eating actual Szechuan food in China, I must have the wrong expectations for the flavor of the chicken after reading the description. It’s too bland for the Szechuan spice lovers.I enjoyed the side dishes, they are all flavorful, unique and well-seasoned. Bumping it to 3 stars.
I'm not a fan of Chinese food in NYC and this place can be my last stop. Ordered shrimp fried rice, two veggie rolls and a side of sweet plantains. Everything was delicious, but my complaint was for the plantains. The plantains were too sweet and rotten like. I'm sure the really bad plantains were on sale somewhere. I threw them all away. A waste.

The fried chicken is disappointing but the sides are delicious. While the chicken is tender and moist the batter is just way too thick and heavy. It's not balanced with too big of a contrast in texture and flavorThe sides are worth getting for themselves. Really fresh bean salad. Tasty brussel sprouts. Skip the pho though.
Sooooooo sooooo good! Traveled from Harlem to try this place out and it did not disappoint. Best fried chicken I've ever had, that and the chicken sandwich were the best dishes. A must try!
My husband put his name on a wait list like a year ago and just recently he was contacted. I heard this chili fried chicken was "amazing". It was just ok to me. You get 3 decent sized pieces of chicken. The spiciness was definitely there (yessss) but other than that just ok. This meal was pricey also. Experience for yourself but I could have passed it up and been ok with that. I'd try something else next time.
We were on the wait-list for picking up chicken. We arrived at 6:00pm for our 6:15pm pick up. We called and they advised they will have the food out by 6:15pm.As promised, girl runs out of the restaurant at 6:12pm with 2 large bags for us. She asked if I would like her to place the bags in the car. She advised one had hot food and one had desserts. She graciously thanked us for the order and we were on our way.We live in Western Suffolk, and GPS said 40 minutes to arrive home. I was concerned about the chicken getting soggy during the drive. We had brought paper towels to put in the containers to catch condensation, but everything was packed so perfectly we decided not to try to open the packaging in the car.The unique and delicious aroma filled the car, and we were so excited to try this chicken! We ran in with the bags and unboxed the hot food. We ordered too much! We did not realize that the chicken meals came with multiple sides. The chicken... something every "self proclaimed foodie" needs to try once! If fried chicken is your niche, this is a new standard that pushes the margins to measure against. Whether you love it or hate it, this chicken redefined the entire fried chicken scale. The flavor ... Spicy, sweet, like Piri Piri met original KFC, rolled in the spice drawer and came out best friends. The meat itself has a slight tang that keeps you coming back for another bite. The texture ... Crisp crisp outside and tender inside. This review is way too long.... And I didn't even get to tell you about the delicious sides and knock your socks off dessert ...5 Stars easy.
I understand the hype but I can’t see myself going again unless it’s to eat more of the sides or trying something else. The chicken is spicy, which I enjoyed but not the best fried chicken I’ve had. The sides however were really good, I’m emphasizing on the sides because *chefs kiss* and I actually enjoyed that way more than the chicken. Also utensils weren’t included. Regardless, the customer service, the exclusiveness and vibe is great to see.
Great tasing dishes at a decent price.
We got on their Fried Chicken Meal wait list after my husband saw the chef’s story on Hypebeast. The wait was over a month and we finally received the online order form. There are only a few options available including the Signature Fried Chicken Set with 3 sides and Fried Cauliflower Set for Vegetarian option. We had 1 order of each set and did a pick-up from Peking House. The decor looked humble, old-fashioned and vintage. We didn't check inside but won't consider to dine there even if they open for dining in.They packed the food well but the portion was small compared to its price, only 4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of Cauliflower. My husband loved how they did the seasoning, but it's too spicy and too heavy for me and I even couldn't remove the skin since it was stuck to the meat perfectly.I really couldn't tell why it is so popular since the chicken was also really dry. At least the chicken broth and sides were good, especially the broth, which was flavorful and light.
