Izakaya Sushi Bar Japanese

Very enjoyable food, tasted fresh and with distinct flavors. The menu offers a large selection of Japanese Izakaya dishes and sushi, and there's something for everyone. Everything I tasted was good, so if you like options this is a good place. From my order the sushi roll was the least favorite; it was fine, but it just didn't feel as fresh as everything else. The outdoor seating on the ample sidewalk is great for people watching. The staff is very friendly, but they made the meal feel rushed: all mains and appetizers came out at once, and they asked too many times if we wanted to order more food. The prices felt reasonable, but not cheap.

Sublime Japanese food at a quaint spot in Prospect Heights.Went for pre-dinner apps and assuredly will be back for a full meal.Delicious tofu and miso cod. Also the shishito peppers and salmon tartare!Sake was good and service was great!Highly recommended!

I had a mood for Japanese last night. So I did the my usual thing; Eatery NY , The Infatuation, Michelin guide, NYTimes, Wall Street Journal, and then I asked.Google, where should I go?Ozakaya said Google, you will like it….Well, Google knows.I had a great experience at Ozakaya, (“one of the most iconic Japanese restaurants in Brooklyn” as they say so themselves …?).I got the Shoyu Tonkoysu Raman, the Miso Black Cod and the Hanabi roll.Way too much food, all delicious. The only challenge there was selecting what to order.I guess I will have to go back for seconds, thirds… ?‍♂️

Came here for lunch to celebrate and ordered a bunch of dishes - great interior vibes, dishes were delicious and generous. Drinks great as well. Will be coming back to try everything on the menu.

Great place! Finally a real and affordable Japanese restaurant opens! At here you not only enjoy genuine Japanese dishes but get enough portion of them!Tempura is fried well! Tonkatsu Curry is dry and delicious, rice is a lot and I can’t finish them all. Salad is also simple and good. One thing can be picked is that the kaisen don could give us more uni in terms of that price, nori is enough, and I hope they offer a cool rice instead of warm one as an option, just a two cent comments.

Loved it!! Cute decor and the food was yummy. Both fish dishes were tender and a pleasant surprise. The agedashi tofu was more on the sweet than savory side but we liked it. Toasted mochi with green tea ice cream is a must!

The best mentaiko pasta ever. Creamy and rich but well balanced so it’s not too heavy. Everything else was spectacular, but the mentaiko pasta has us thinking about it every day since. We’re now moving to Brooklyn partly just to eat this every week.

Absolutely incredible, what a great addition to the neighborhood! The food blew me away, it all sounded good but tasted even better, and great drinks (loved the smoked old fashioned). Love the style inside too, very cute and cozy place!

This is a fun place! The menu is built around small plates, snacks & bar food.Sushi rolls are good. We've had several of the dumplings and other small plates, and all have been good. There's a nice selection of noodle and rice dishes, along with some ramen.

The weekday lunch specials rest very cozily in my tummy. Highly recommended.
