Great food. Superb service. Honest prices. We shall definitely return to try the nine courses menu. I will never be disappointed eating here.
Not worth it. The ambiance was lovely. Way too many staff just milling around. Server was slightly annoying. The food was completely over salted - one dish was almost inedible. The wine choices weren’t great. Seems more like a mediocre neighborhood place rather than a Michelin starred place.
I walked into this place without planing at my first visit since I had an event near by but I arrived early. I found out that their housemate sour dough was amazing, so did their house made soda. As a result, I made a date with friends to try more items, and it was a great nice having the dinner here. All the ingredients were used professionally mixing together. All the flavors of the dishes was rich, layered, and creative. My favorite is the short rib. The meat was sliced and super soft! Almost melted in your mouth. The cabbage salad was impressive. The sauce on each leaf was evenly brushed on it with a well-balanced taste. The cheesecake was outstanding too. A good choice to end the meal.
One of my favorite restaurants in NYC! This is always our go-to spot for date nite, the food and drink never disappoint! The flavor of the food is equally as thoughtful as the presentation. Kudos to the chef for curating a truly outstanding restaurant!
Mediocre dinner, low level status for a starred restaurant. The wine pairing with the courses was very poor. They brought us the espresso (lukewarm) after the second courses and therefore we were not able to taste well and in the right way the desserts. There were too many waiters in the dining room, rush of service and too much confusion. Although we told the waiters that we had difficulties with the language, no one tried to speak more slowly. Waiters do not take care of you, they just bring the food in the rush. One thing I didn't like at all is that they asked us if we wanted tea or coffee as if it was included in the menu and then we found them on the receipt. When we left, no comments. We would not recommend it.
This place had the most amazing brunch. The staff was excellent - we loved every moment at this wonderful restaurant. The best thing was the chickpea fried stick dish! Phenomenal.
The food here was okay, not particularly inspiring. Sourdough was the standout dish (kind of gave me Lazybear Parker House Rolls vibes) – all of the other dishes lacked presentation refinement and didn’t seem to have a cohesive point of view. For example, see the picture of the le kebab d’oxalis, which effectively resembled the look of an ordinary quesadilla. Not necessarily bad thing, but would expect more from a restaurant with a Michelin star. Lastly, the hostess was slightly rude and condescending to our party, setting a weird tone prior to being seated.I can’t really speak for other restaurants in Brooklyn as I’m from California, but I suspect there are other restaurants with a higher culinarily bar and better service.
You will have high-end chef run restaurant without leaving Brooklyn. Their service second to none, from hostess to the bass boy everyone is pleasant and strive to make your experience as good as possible. We had missed our opportunity to have chef selection and use their regular menu. The quality of food as good as service, we really enjoyed their home baked sourdough bread, black bass and pork ribs. Also I personally, really liked their cream puff dessert. However I will advise you to skip on cheese and cold cuts, not like they weren't good, just not as good as everything else for their price. But all in all very good restaurant, reservation is strongly recommended
Went to get fine dining from this Michelin-Star-owned restaurant. We got the Carte Blanche platter, which was $70 each. The food was admittedly very delicious, many of the bites were amazing and the flavors burst in your mouth. The tuna with squid ink was good. However, I have one huge gripe with this restaurant, and it was that we were here from way too long, from evening to nighttime. This is because the dishes came out super slowly despite finishing our portions very fast. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent though.
What an incredible find! We had tickets for an exposition at the Brooklyn museum and came here beforehand for brunch. It's a prix-fixe menu and it's well worth it! And every week they change it. This week we got french cuisine! It's the perfect amount of food; not too much to leave you stuffed, but not too little to leave you starving. The staff were incredibly welcoming. When we left everyone thanked us for coming. Felt like royalty.
