I usually go to the Alamo Drafthouse but Nitehawk is closer to me. I was pleasantly surprised. If I had to do a comparison, I'd say Nitehawk has the better beverage menu and Alamo has the better food menu. There's lots of room in between the rows and that's nice. The temperature was comfortable and that's important to me in summer. I would definitely recommend going to the movies here.
A great place to catch dinner and a movie, the featured food/drink specials are always interesting and well done. I always have to order the citrus popcorn and their cocktails are also top notch. You can even stop by just to sit at the bar!
Hadn't been to a cinema like this before and had a feeling to disruption of the team bringing food orders over would really annoy me (I get annoyed easily in cinemas!). To my surprise it didn't bother me at all, the servers were quick to get in and out, it was great having a beer and burger at my seat and the whole experience was just good fun.The screen was a little smaller than the regular Regal type cinemas and the seating could have been more comfortable but overall a fun way to watch a film!
Saw doctor strange recently and loved the experience. I'd not been to the prospect park location before though have seen a few at the Williamsburg location. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm back. The bar is also very good and they were offering $5 off draft beer after the movie.
What a wonderful place to have access to. The theater has been lovingly renovated and transformed into a truly glorious temple for film lovers. It’s clean, well organized, and just so much fun, providing movies, drinks and food altogether. You don’t need to watch a movie to visit, as they have a restaurant/bar with a great selection of drinks (beers on tap) and food.
Nice atmosphere. No concession stand Waiters take your order for food and drinks at your seat. Nice comfortable seats with built-in food tray. The also have a bar.
Best theater in Brooklyn. Love the service and food options. Fries were really good. The projection and screen were perfect and the sound was loud but not overpowering. Loved the ambience and the bar was popular with or without a movie. And they screen old movies as special presentations. Perfect.
Honestly one of the best movie theaters I've ever gone to. The popcorn is a little too greasy, but as long as you don't eat too much and stay at the top of the bowl you'll be fine. I honestly can't count how many times I've been to the movie theater, and it's within walking distance to me. The waiters are some of the kindest I've ever seen, and always do their best to not block the screen. My biggest problem is that some of the theaters don't have very good elevation, and that they have theater 1, 2, 4, and 6 on one side, and then 3, 5, and 7 on the other. I still don't know why that is, but once you learn the layout you'll be fine. Overall, an amazing movie theater.
First time being in this movie theater and I'm impressed at how amazingly cool the set up.There's 3 floors.7 movie theaters2 floors of bar (you don't have to watch the movies just go hang at the bar)You can order food when your seated. There's a small table to place your foodBathrooms are clean.Staff are nice.Food took a bit longer but it's understandable. They have special food for some of the movies that are playing.Nice comfortable seats. Not a lot of people. (Wife and I went Sunday night)
In my humble opinion, one visit to Nitehawk theater will spoil your experience for any other theatre. The kindness demonstrated by the staff, the serving of your delicious meals while you are watching a movie and the entire ambience is the only reason I would get up and go to a movie theatre compared to watching from the comfort of my home. Bravo Nitehawk management and staff, you folks make going back to the movies fun again.
