Newtown is one of my favorite places to eat in the city, hands down. I lived nearby for years, and every single time I’ve ordered from here I’m in heaven. I live on the opposite side of Brooklyn now and I still make a point to come at least once a month. The pita is soft and filled with these little bubble pockets that sop up all the amazing hummus and flavors they pack in - the couscous stew has warmed my soul on the coldest days, and even just the simple pickles that accompany everything have their own unique flavor and tang. I love this place. So. Much.

Newtown has some of the best falafel around! The pita pockets are seriously next level. Their ingredients in general are top notch, and the prices are super fair. This is a regular lunch spot for me and my co-workers, it's absolutely addictive.
A nice little out the way spot, this is the kind of place where you need to know a guy who knows a guys cousin’s best friend that knows this place in order to be aware of its greatness. I had the seitan shawarma and it blew me away. If you want a solid vegan spot with great food and great prices, this is it. Definitely check it out, I strongly doubt that you’ll say anything other than mmmmm
Good food. The service is often passive aggressive. I suppose that's part of the vegan Bushwick experience.
