We were in the neighborhood with hunger, so we just checked any restaurant with good reviews and Mtskheta Cafe popped up. Another reason why we chose it was because we never had Georgian food before and were curious about how the dishes taste like.The options on the menu are decent but in Kartvelian languages, so we had difficulties making up our decisions. The staff was friendly and suggested a couple of dishes to us. We got their Khachapuri, Chakapuli and Chicken with Garlic Sauce. The food was not really our type except the cheesy & satisfying Khachapuri and I believe it’s authentic.
We always enjoy to visit this place. The food is so delicious ?. The service is great ?Highly recommend ?
I completely forgot how much Russian service sucks. It has been years since I went to a Russian restaurant. I was on business trip in Brooklyn, found this place on Google maps saw good reviews, walked in at around 2020 over an hour before scheduled closing just to be told kitchen is closed. Thanks to.you I found a delicious John's Deli across the street.

Lamb kebab was stiff. Food presentation was nice. Nice environment. I was the only customer in the restaurant and the waiter kept staring making me very uncomfortable, during my entire meal. He questioned me several times if I'm sure I'm ordering both salad and French Fries which I didn't like, while he was taking my order. There was desserts on the menu. When I asked the waiter of what desserts they had, he said none. It was an experience. Not likely to go back.
