I used to think this spot was the best ever but now I realize some dishes DO miss. :(The red bean puff pastry, bejing street noodles, and the spicy wontons … WOW!!! Amazing. But The Taiwanese beef noodles had NO flavor… i seriously mean none!I think they should revamp the recipe bc that dish is seriously lacking. They still get 5 stars bc almost everything else has been perfect !!!!
The pork soup dumplings were good, but not great (more below), but my biggest problem is the sheer amount of waste created for a meal.I was brought a paper cup of water (without asking), and then there were single use chopsticks, dumpling spoon, sauce containers, and food containers. There’s no way around it - everything is single use and when you look across the tables, you see the sheer amount of unnecessary trash they create (ironically, the walls and ceiling are decorated with beautiful bowls!)For the dumplings - the broth wasn’t as flavorful as I’d like, and the dumpling outside was a little tough. Certainly tasty, but not the best I’ve had in the neighborhood.
If I could give it a 10 out of 5, I would.The place was wonderfully designed to begin with, and the food ?? If i were to work here, you would find me in the back eating all day long as to how amazing it was.Got a little bit of everything to get the full experience and I can proudly say this place did NOT miss once.
I had food from Mr. Bao several times now, and even delivered, it's still quite tasty. The gua bao and dumplings are proper andexplode with flavor. The duck wrap is simply delightful. Unfortunately, they do need to work a lot on their noodles and rice dish, which tend to be quite dry and have very little flavor
Move over David Chang cause Mr. Bao has come to town! I’ve been looking at this restaurant for a year and finally ordered a self picked tasting menu and I’m sad I haven’t ordered sooner! This place is great! The Gua Bao was spot on and delicious! Writing this thinking about the short rib one has me salivating ? . The rice bowl was good but the true star was the Yuzu Apricot Peach dipping sauce. It was HEAVENLY! Lick the inside of the container kind of good. I hope I can buy a jar next time and put it on a bunch of things. Anyway. The food was good. Fair prices for portionings. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. A family was ordering when I came in and someone from their table was making recommendations; thanks to him I got the spring rolls that comes with this Yuzu sauce ! (THANKS guy!) and there wings are a definite add on to any order! Crispy, flavorful, and need a bigger order size! Need those by the bucket! ? It’s a cozy spot and I encourage everyone reading to stop in!
Gua Bao with roasted duck is heavenly. The fluffy buns are very good too. However, the dumplings are underwhelming and not seasoned the proper way. After all, this place is called Mr Bao and I do agree the baos are great here. The meat in the rice bowls are just okay but the vegetables (string beans and cucumber salad) are surprisingly delicious. I would recommend trying their baos and they currently have a good deal coupon on Ubereats.

I ordered here once and my food was great. I ordered again a couple days ago and I ended up having to go to the hospital. I ordered some fried chicken bao, pork dumplings and veggie dumpling. The pork was super cold, and very disappointing. The chicken baos were tasty. The problem is that they gave me SHRIMP AND BEEF dumplings instead of veggie and I have a terrible shellfish allergy. I took a bite, swallowed it and then looked in horror as I felt my tongue start to lose feeling and realizing that I ate shrimp. Thankfully I had an epipen that I had to use to stop my throat from swelling. I then had to go to the hospital after, what a night. ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK, they are very careless.
Nice little spot to stop and eat. We got steamed pork soup dumplings, fried shrimp and pork dumplings, popcorn shrimp and chicken wings. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
The food was really good. We had the Vegetable Bao, Steamed Shrimp Dumpling and the chicken wings. Everything was so fresh and tasty would definitely go again
