Expensive drinks and stuffy atmosphere. No happy hour. Went with another On a Sunday around 6pm. Can't speak for the "night life".There are better bars in Bushwick I don't know how Mood Ring has such a high rating.
Very mid. Dance floor is tiny, DJ plays terrible music. $15 cover with expensive gross drinks. There's some cool queer people who come here but that's literally the only reason to go here!!
NOT a queer bar! If you’re queer, be aware. Been going for years. Appreciate the bouncers for looking out for our queer group that was being harassed by a stranger cis man (unfortunately prolly has happened before) and then sadly another stranger cis man ask me and my friends if we were Chinese at a bar themed after In the Mood for Love.. hope we all heal. DJs are great tho.
Drinks are nice. But are not strong. They charge a 15 dollar cover. And drinks are 15 each as well. Then their “dancing room” is smaller than a closet. And they play weird music that has no lyrics nor a certain beat. They change the song every 2 min. You can find all types of people here.
Vibey place. Came here on a Thurs night. Rnb early in the night, then DnB later on. There’s a dance room in the back
What an amazing place! Everybody is vibing so hard and the music is just so good! Good people good place
If you are looking for Wong Kar-Wai or "In the Mood for Love" vibes, you're not gonna find it here. I was really excited to find a bar with those mentioned as inspirations, but upon arrival it was seriously just like any other NYC/Bushwick bar. Loud obnoxious techno music, a thrown together patch-up job type of decor, and overpriced drinks. They reel you in with their Astrological drink of the month, but besides that it wasn't very special. And yes there was random Asian decorations, a poster and some movie signs from Kar-wai films, but nothing about this bar evoked the feeling from any of his films. If you like trendy, clubby vibes, and want a fun night out to get drunk and dance come to Mood Ring. Overall this place was a let down and felt stressful to me. Still hoping to find an actually cool astrology/Wong Kar-wai themed bar one day... sigh

Googles address brings you to the back entrance, walk around the corner to the front. GREAT drinks at a great price. Chill environment in the back and great dance floor to the back. The people make the place that much more enjoyable, no one is pushy or obnoxious. Everyone is just there for a good time.
okokok call me picky but you know when someone's little sister is just... cooler than the person themself? that's kinda how i feel about mood ring vs heaven or las vegas. i will say,, there is a live mfing dance floor and its always gonna be busy @ mood ring which is truly fun BUT the lay out of the bar is really not ideal, its crammed in there not in a cute way in certain areas (hallway) and really hard to find seating or anything. staff are super friendly, bouncers are genuinely kind people, and it was a fun cute lil queer environment, just not my most favourite place on earth lel
