If you are looking for a place to try Brazilian food, skip this place - terrible service; the picanha will come always well-done regardless how many times you need to order to be pink and it is not that good. But if you are seeking for live samba music, Brazilian overpriced caipirinhas and don’t mind to be in a very packed place (that you can barely order drinks, use the bathroom or move from your table to anywhere) that’s the place. Don’t go with a big group - we were in 10 and it took 2h and half to get our lunch. As they are famous for the great music and there is always a lot of people, they don’t do any effort to serve you or treat you well.
This place is AMAZING!! Must come on Saturdays for the live music. The drinks and foods was fantastic. We must have gone through 5 pitches of caipirinha. Pitchers are $55. Prices for the food and drinks all seem pretty reasonable for Brooklyn. They are also located a block from the river so you can take a break from dancing and hit the nearby park. I will definitely be retuning next time I am in Brooklyn
It gets so crowded on Saturday afternoons. Good people, amazing samba music, delicious Brazilian food! The drinks are way too sweet.
Gotta tell management. After you hold a party on a weekend have a plan to empty your place so that reservation holders can sit and eat on time. Then after in the rush to get people served all of our food came out at once and one meal did not come out until after we were all done. Come on now you can do better.
This place is overrated and overpriced. We ordered 3 appetizers, the little enpanadas, cheesey bread, the crockets and a $55 coconut caipirinha pitcher. The appetizers are outrageously overpriced for what you get, and they weren't all that good. The Caipirnha pitcher wasn't very good either, I've had much better ones at other places. The caipirnha wasn't very sweet and way too strong on alcohol. We asked the only waiter working if he could water the drink down or add more juice to the pitcher and he refused. The service here is very slow, the food and pitcher took forever to come out. The place is very small and rundown, but I think that's the vibe that they're going for. I wanted to like this place, but I can't recommend it, much better options in the area.
As Brazilian food goes, it was accurate. It was not my favorite version of any of it (stroganoff, pao de quiejo, coxinha, etc). It's cash only, and a bit out of the way. But it is very authentic feeling, very very much like being in Brazil!
This place is one of my favorites! Junior (barkeep) always hooks it up w amazing service and delicious drinks. & the food is fantastic!
Cash only. Food was not great and a little over priced. Drinks are good.
Great empanadas!!! Drink and service is always amazing, just we ordered appetizers. This is one of my favorite place in Brooklyn for get drink and fun times with friends.. Don’t forget order caipirinha pitcher.. they only accept cash payment
CASH ONLYFrango a passarinho, appetizer was SUPER spicy. I couldnt eat. My husband liked it, and maybe all americans like it too, but to me, a brazilian, it was too much.Cheese empanadas, pastel de queijo , was delicious. Would order it again.Feijoada for 2. It was good, but the vinagrete was with red pepper, which I hate, and I miss more beans, it was basically meat. Wouldn't order again.Caipirinhas, very good. Very Brazilian. Loved it.Would come back, but ask more questions before ordering.
