I ordered a birthday cake for my husband's milestone birthday and it was delicious! I submitted the order online several weeks in advance and via email we confirmed flavor --carrot cake--and frosting, delivery details and payment. All went smoothly, even confirming delivery time to the restaurant, where I didn't have to worry about a thing! The cake was gorgeous and tasty. Everyone loved it, and most especially, my husband, the birthday boy! Thank you Mini Melanie for making this a memorable celebration for us all!
I placed two orders for my two young grandchildren on February 1st for delivery for February 11th for Valentines Day. The bakery is about an hour away from where they live. The order was never received. When I called the bakery, the woman was rude and dismissive. Ironically, I also ordered items from a shop via Goldbelly on the same day and they were properly delivered on February 11th. Very disappointed in the failure of Mini Melanie. I do not recommend them. I expect my refund ASAP.
Received a selection of cake truffles from a vendor at work and got to try 4 different ones (had to split them with my colleagues) and was surprised at how moist and flavorful they were especially after being shipped.The truffles themselves looked very nice as well and were very vibrant.
Mini Melanie hosted our team's holiday event this year, and it was an absolute delight! Melanie conducted an engaging, informative, and professional cookie decorating class. Melanie provided great decorating technique and also shared some stories from her impressive past on Food Network's Chopped! The entire event was flawlessly executed - they shipped over 60 cookie kits nationwide without any issues (the cookies and icing were DELICIOUS). From the start, it was a pleasure working with Diana, Melanie, & team. I would absolutely recommend this company to host your next corporate event!
Ordered for a family celebration with less than one week notice. Amazing customer service, even did a custom request for us, and extremely quick turn around to emails. Most importantly desserts were beautiful and delicious. Everyone loved them - the perfect end to the party! Will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend!
Hadn’t heard of Mini Melanie but for a collaboration with Fatty Sundays. Took a chance and ordered and everyone who tasted raved about the cake, design and truffles. Will absolutely order from them again. And highly recommend!
DO NOT BUY A CAKE HERE. I bought a cake for to be delivered as a surprise for my mom's 71st birthday and the whole experience from ordering it to the taste of the cake itself was a nightmare. While they were always quick to respond, answers to my questions were unclear and when I had an issue (there were multiple) the responses I got were totally insincere. My biggest issue though (and the reason I am leaving this review) is because the cake was dry and stale, as was the icing. According to my family, it tasted as if it had been sitting in a freezer or fridge for days. This is totally unacceptable for an $80 cake that cost $45 to deliver. What shocks me the most though is that this company markets themselves as cakes made by a "Chopped Champion". Frankly, if I were Melanie Moss, I would be embarrassed to put my name on such a horrible cake.
We ordered a smash cake for a baby and asked how much sugar is included in the cake. The shop did not answered directly and replied that the cake is banana cake. The cake that arrived to us is full of sugar and does not appropriate to a baby. I feel the answer of the shop is not very honest.
Melanie made my daughter’s engagement party cookies for me. Not only were they custom designed and delicious, but she got them done and delivered to me on very short notice. I couldn’t have been happier with her responsiveness, cooperation, and how easy she made the entire process! Would highly recommend Melanie and I look forward to my next order with her!
I used here cake pops and bites as a gift for my realtor at her grand opening of a new office. It was the hit of the evening. I cannot say enough about how good it was.
