Had to update my review. Used to be one of my favorite places in Brooklyn. Took here all my friends and family. But today had a quite bad experience. Ordered takeout and after 1 hour drive founded smoked meat poutine without meat at all and with some plastic peace inside as a bonus. Highly disappointed. Everything else was great and I still think that their Ruben is one of the best in the city.

First came here a few years ago for the poutine. Fresh smoked meats, fresh curds and was able to sit at the counter. Finally made it back. Still amazing! And an amazing bite!

Solid low key take out joint. Outdoor seating. Lots of attention to their meats.Brisket + Egg Bagel - Brisket was insane. Cream cheese was a night touch. Bagel perfect consistency.Smoked Meat Hash - Meat was incredibly cooked and spiced. Potatoes could have been the slightly more crisped. As always, remember everyone has off days, check your bias, and consider other palates.

This place is amazing. If you are looking for a savory and authentic breakfast, this is the place. I have eaten here twice and not inside due to COVID but outside on the wooden table, which I love to do during morning hours. My favorite is the corned beef sandwich. So, so good. And so Brooklyn. It may be considered pricey but worth it. Life is to live it. Go for it.

Perhaps I was expecting too much. I wanted thick pastrami on rye like I saw on other reviews. What I got was akin to the corner store pastrami and soggy french fries. Yuck!It was not good. I'm not sure if the day I went was an off day, but if you look at my pics compared to other reviewers, there's a bit of a difference. I can't, in good conscience, recommend this spot. At least not for a pastrami sandwich.

One of my favorite spots, and for good reason. Everything is homemade and delicious. Even down to the pickles. And they make the best carrot cake I’ve ever had in my life. 100% worth all of the praise they get.

I hesitate to give negative reviews but after paying $11+ (tip) for a chicken noodle soup with one thumbnail sized chicken piece, hardly any noodle and the broth tasted old, I just want to let others know. Also, I thought this delicatessen would definitely have great soups given price and location. They’ve got to work on their food just tasting better. Broth smells of beef bone broth and no simmering at all. Additionally, waited outside in the cold while I had to ask for them to just give me the soup cold bc no one was in the kitchen. Further, I ordered two soups of which the person taking my order didn’t even know they no longer had any of them. I tipped based on cost and eventually was refunded since I wasn’t given both soups but tip was not discussed. I usually try to tip well but one of the only times I’d ask for a refund on that too. We’ll see if the refund for soup #2 even comes through.

Latkes: thick, flavorful, good.Kugel: non-traditional as it's cheesey, but tastes good.Chocolate babka: Hard, served cold so maybe I'd like it more warmed up? I asked if they could warm it, told no.

A Fantastic little deli with delicious sandwiches! I highly recommend hitting this spot if you are in or around Brooklyn. I got a Ruben and it was very happy and the wife got the Matzah Ball soup and took it to the head...she is very serious about her Matzah Balls.

I used to love this place. The food is great. However, the pandemic is now over and they are still using sooo much packaging. Even when you ask for water, they’ll give you one use plastic or you have to buy a bottle. I cant support this when they can clearly stop selling their food in aluminum and plastic for dining in
