M. Shanghai in Brooklyn is a wonderful Chinese restaurant! Look no further if you want amazing Shanghainese food and perfect soup dumplings! I live in Vancouver where there is amazing Chinese food and can honestly say M. Shanghai is quite special. Everything we ordered was delicious and our waiter Kalani was amazing at recommending certain dishes to us! I loved how the sauces were flavorful but very healthy! The service was excellent here, so attentive and warm, and the atmosphere cozy, romantic, and relaxing! Thank you to the owner Mei who greeted us and is so friendly and wonderful and for making our weekend in NYC with perfect soup dumplings!

This establishment serves some of the best high quality Chinese food in the city.Not only is the food phenomenal, but the ambience and service are second to none. In addition, the bar is also very welcoming.Finally, the staff is very friendly and happy to chat it up with the customers.BONUS - their playlist was up my alley! A mix of 80s new wave and 90s hits.Pro-tip - can't go wrong with their spicy crispy kung pao chicken, scallion pancakes, and soup dumplings!

The food was flavorful and the service was excellent. The wait staff and owner were very welcoming. It's also close to the Knitting Factory Brooklyn. If you are going for a concert, grab a bite here.
Been here many times with friends. Great for having a bunch of Tsingtao's with a mess of scallion pancakes and dumplings. Reasonably priced and in a ideal Williamsburg location.
