Good food, good service
The only Shanghai restaurant in Southern Brooklyn I know of that is decent. It's small, yet cozy...no gimmicks or theme decors, just satisfying and tasty soup dumplings that'll fill you up! Of course there are other goodies available on their menu, but I'm there for the soup dumplings.

It's hard finding a really good place for soup dumplings in this part of NYC but this place gets it. They're authentic and food is always on point. It's a small place but they churn out food quickly so I haven't had to wait long in the many many years I've been coming here. Plus service is amazing - those that know the places in Manhattan's Chinatown know you go for the food no matter how rude the wait staff is. It's always a pleasure coming here. I get the soup dumplings, fried wontons with the peanut sauce, and a plate of rice cakes with little bit of everything. Plus they finish off the meal with a complimentary "dessert soup" aka "tong sui". I'll quickly note that it did feel a bit crowded considering covid but our table was by the air conditioner and in a corner so we felt safe enough considering we had kids with us too.
If I could describe this place in one word it would be "Home" . Upon walking in I was greeted by such a warm hello. It felt like home and the dishes feel homemade as well. Hats off to the chefs. The service here was stellar and such great hospitality! The food here is so good and I can't wait to come back to try some new dishes with my friends and family.
