I spent over 4 hours here and there was AC. This was a nice vibe. I appreciated the drinks ( i got a iced matcha and a sorrel) both were very tasty and recommendable. I also tasted the turkey panini with chipotle sauce which was amazing and the shrimp panini which was alright. overall i had no issues with this place and would definitely come again. Also I hear it’s vincentian owned and that’s what i love to see!!! ???? I would love to come back to this place when the AC is fixed to fully enjoy the vibes it had to offer.

Our Airbnb host recommended this place and we were thrilled! Came here for breakfast every morning during our vacation week. It’s family owned and they are super attentive and lovely people. They made us feel like we were in a friend’s house. The menu is great, ginger lemonade killed it, great coffee and Jamane is the Jordan of the cappuccinos! Best coffee we had in NYC so far. The atmosphere and the music is absolutely divine. They deserve 5 stars + Check my bf happy face on the photos and you can tell :D

DELICIOUS!! am here visiting a friend and she told me if there's one place she is taking me to Lips Cafe and was not disappointed! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was refreshing from the busy streets. The ginger pineapple juice was sweet and refreshing but the iced chai latte is one of the best I've ever tasted. I will definitely be returning to try everything on the menu! I would have taken more pictures but the food was too good couldn't wait! The Rasta Pasta with the Sweet Chili Shrimp is pictured.

Best coffee shop around this area! Good vibes, stylish couches, nice music, good food, and most importantly I was surprised by how tasty their coffee was, dripped in a nice looking mug. Then there is the subway. At some moments you can feel the underground subway shaking the ground like an earthquake, you get a free massage and an out of ordinary moment.

This place is awesome. This business is Black owned, has a modern take on the urban cafe concept in the decor & has a beautiful food program. Not only do they serve cafe drinks, they have quick bites and warm delights that definitely fill you up. This place is definitely a new staple in Brooklyn. This was the perfect choice for my lunch meeting today. Our waiter drought us our drinks, food & made sure we needed nothing. The food was fresh, made with top quality ingredients & was presented beautifully. When in you’re in Brooklyn, GO HERE!

Had the pleasure of stopping by today for dinner with a friend. The space is dope and the entire team is nice and good vibes. They have a great menu with healthy options. I got the ginger pineapple juice and couldn’t complain. You can feel the welcoming energy in the air here. This doesn’t feel like just a cafe but an authentic community space.

It’s black owned, has lots of different stylish and comfortable seating, free wifi and lots of interesting artwork on the walls. To start I ordered Bake & Salt fish and a iced caramel latte. The food took some time to come out and that’s when I knew it would be good, to me this signified that someone was making it fresh to order. As a Caribbean woman it reminded me of when my mom made this dish on Sunday morning. The latte was the right amount of sweet. I also ordered a sorrel because I was there for a while and I needed something to sip on. It was perfect!Because I was so comfortable there and it wasn’t too crowded, I was able to get two essays done and plan for the week. I’ll def be back

Yesssss, this place was just what I was looking for. I’m sure there are many delicious places in the area but there is a major lack of atmosphere, style which is a MUST for me. Lips has created an experience, a vibe alongside delicious, nutritious food. Service is super friendly. The space was a bit smaller than I thought or then I wanted it to be, but I landed myself a big fancy red chair in the centre and felt like the queen of the cafe for the afternoon. Oh and did I mention the food was soooo good and the Americano was one of the best I’ve ever had. So ya, go here.

I’m from Sunset Park and it’s my first time here at Lips. In the middle of almost finishing this wrap. I had to stop myself and take a foto to share with y’all. It’s the jerk chicken wrap. It’s so good. Coffee is also really good. I’ll be back soon since I get my film devlope at photo life.

Lips Cafe is a great restaurant. The food that I've had is excellent, the service is great, the decor is lovely, and everyone there seems to be having a good time. Lots of customers do work from their laptops, and I have a couple times but I wasn't able to focus much without my noise canceling headphones because of the conversations happening around me. Not a big deal to me but I wanted to point that out. It's a great spot to meet nice and friendly people and enjoy a cool and chill vibe. The salmon wrap is my favorite (and I always eat it so fast before I take a picture). It has that perfect combination of spice, heat, tang, and sweet that they have mastered. I will say one star is deducted because it's very expensive for the portion size in my opinion. Many of what I've ordered is expensive (note I didn't say overpriced). I've worked at Herald Sq and Times Sq and dining around those areas for similar types of restaurants for similar menu items haven't been that expensive in my experience. That being said, they are free to charge what they want to and be justified in that decision. It just means that visiting this Cafe is less of a frequent visit for me and more of a treat to myself on occasion.
