Overall a good experience because the food was great. We made a reservation which due to walk ins we ended having to wait longer then we wanted. However, the staff acknowledged it and made up for it. The drinks and food were great. Short walk to the Brooklyn promenade so that was a nice activity after eating. Definitely a place I would go to again when I visit NY again

Tasty food and a great atmosphere make Lantern a place you’ll want to keep coming back to. They have great lunch specials and a lot of variety. I highly recommend the green curry or salmon & mango.

The best red curry tofu I’ve had since I moved to NYC. There was so much flavor and delicious creaminess— I was in heaven! Our table also really enjoyed the crispy spring rolls with plum sauce AND the vegetable dumplings ? between the food along with the great service and relaxed atmosphere.. I would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Lantern !!!

This used to be my go to Thai spot In Brooklyn, however, today was a terrible experience for me. The waitress was super rude she was probably having a bad that but that is no excuse to be rude to the customer. She got the drink order wrong and then basically threw the straw onto the table with the new drink. The shrimp and chicken fritters was COLD and the shrimp Spicy basil fried rice used to be my favorite but it was so bland today. And it has been a few hours later and I feel sick. My stomach did not take the food well. I went with another person and they don’t feel well either. The food was TERRIBLE AND MADE US SICK, and the bathroom is disgusting. On the way out the guy who served us the food REMINDED us the tip is not included onto the bill which is VERY unprofessional. I would give it no stars if possible. Please go to a different Thai restaurant if you are in the area.

Tasty dishes at Lantern with a nice atmosphere. We ate at Lantern on a Thursday evening and didn't have to book and were seated straight away.We found the starters to be good portion sizes so one each for us was more than enough. The mains are a very good size and tasty too, we couldn't finish ours.We sampled the hot and the cold sake, although the hot doesn't stay hot for long. Our server was very friendly and helpful and provided us everything we needed during our visit.

Ordered the honey chicken. Food was great, atmosphere was good, and the staff were really friendly and attentive.

I’ve had food from this place a few times and dined there once. I must say, decent customer service, they should be a little bit more patient when taking orders. Either way I will definitely be a regular! The food is pretty tasty and low in sodium, some might say it lacks flavor. I think the meat has just the right amount of flavor, only thing is they should offer some soy sauce, chilli, or something because the rice dish can be a bit dry. But overall I would recommend, the chef’s special is the best in my opinion. The fried rices, it’s not their strongest suit.

Came in here after a really long time and the food is absolutely delicious just like I remember. Highly recommend Kee Mao and Basil Fried Rice. Don't miss the Thai iced coffee here!

I've been visiting this place for 5 years; when I lived in NY it was a favorite, now everytine I go back it's a must-do on my list; I've never been disappointed. Their Thai tea is one of the best I've ever had, and their pineapple fried rice is delicious.

Great food at a reasonable price. Found in a great location as well.
