Food was pretty good overall. Some people enjoyed theirs more than others though. The drinks were good and they had good music playing. Cute vibe on the inside. Idk if we just were there at an off time but it was brunch on a Sunday and the place was still dead inside which I found strange but we had a good time regardless. I wouldn’t necessarily so out of my way to go back here though.
Came here for my birthday brunch on a Saturday and didn't realize bottomless brunch is only on Friday. Our waitress made the suggestion to get a bottle of sparkling wine and a juice of our choice (pineapple) and it was beyond worth it and perfect. All of our food was delicious. Definitely coming back!
I took a chance going without a reservation and got lucky. Our party of 4 was seated right way for a pre Father's day brunch. I love the ambiance and food. I'd definitely return. I wish the brunch menu offered more options other than that I had a great experience. The staff were very kind and professional.
Can’t give them 5 stars. We visited from out of state. Our phones died. Mine was dead upon arrival he had about 2%. They did not have one physical menu on site. We were just told to hurry up and look at the menu to decide what we wanted by our waitress.Thinking if this could’ve been my seven-year-old father without a smart phone if he would have been able to maneuver through that. Unrealistic, in this day and time you always need to be adaptable to whomever walks in your door.Oxtail flatbread was very good I believe Oxtail gravy would have been better than a tomato sauce. That would have made it great.Drinks were great.Jerk chicken was great.Snapper was good. However I don’t believe that they seasoned the inside of the fish. The vegetables were very good. The rice and peas left so much to be desired. I believe that they needed more garlic, onion, scallion, coconut milk and seasoning. It was a bit bland. I believe an American could have been satisfied. Caribbean people? No.22% gratuity added to the bill. We usually tip 25%. We we felt as though 20% was a bit much from our subpar waitress. I didn’t catch her name intentionally to spare her. Management have plans in place for customers without a smart phone/ dead phone.Overall great vibe and music, our hostess was sweet.
Great place food was awesome
Outstanding. More spacious inside than may appear. Streetside seating also available. We had reservations for Saturday brunch and this place quickly filled to capacity. Courteous and friendly host. Charming and professional wait staff. Flavorful food and large portions. Oxtail Flatbread imaginative dish which we had for an appetizer and it along with everything was delicious.
Not even two days before I went to Kokomo I was saying how I need to walk in my neighborhood instead of riding my bike. A friend of mine asked me to photograph a birthday party given for her mom and as I usually do I arrived early. My first amazement was how close it is to my place and I didn’t know. Everything after that was awesome. The staff is young vibrant and professional. I managed to catch the kitchen door open and it was spotless and that’s saying a lot considering the place was packed. They had a live dj spinning some fire tunes and the food was awesome. Yes it’s vegetarian friendly also. The coffee was good and I liked the cup it was served in. Theirs a miniature community model on the wall that should not be missed either. I could go on, but I won’t. Book a lunch or dinner here, and u won’t be disappointed.
Excellent food, drinks, and service!
My first time at Kokomo NYC the food was delicious yummy the service was excellent ?? I would be back again with my whole family
Great place for dinner with friends. For starters we had the oxtails flatbread and wings - loved both. As for main I took the oxtails dish since it’s very popular , it tasted amazing but I thought that they could have given at least one or two more pieces. Next time I want to try the salmon. Looked amazing .
