This place is a hidden gem. I've been coming here for 2 years. Everything here is great the chicken gyro, Turkish meat balls the lamb sausage, even the rice is fantastic. Probably the best is the chicken gyro. Which gets sold out usually before 8pm. It's that that good. Juicy and just the slightest crispiness. No other chicken gyro tastes like the way he makes it. The white bean salad is great too,. Everything taste delicious.

Great food each time I visit

These white bean salad (piyaz) and the meatballs are a Turkish favorite dish and I am so glad I found this restaurant. The meatballs, white beans salad and the mix meze platter were all delicious. The owner of the restaurant is a gourmet and food researcher, he also wrote and published a recipe book about vegetarian Turkish dishes. It was so nice to hear the stories of the food from him while we enjoyed the food at the cozy ambiance.

Best Kofte and best sucuk ( lamb sausage) that I ever ate in the US. Thank you Kofte Piyaz for putting a huge smile on my face! Finally, I found the taste that I was looking for! I am Turkish and yes, this restaurant has the real Turkish food! I felt like I was in my favorite restaurant in Turkey. The owner Murat is very welcoming and friendly! We are here for vacation and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu items!

For a reason I can’t understand, we were the only table in the restaurant. The chef and owner had a true passion for the food of his country and was excited to share his knowledge with us - from the baba ganoush and salty yogurt tea to kofte and baklava, not a single dish was missing anything. While it’s not a frilly restaurant, it’s a genuine cuisine by a genuine man. It has easily excelled to a top 10 in New York for me and will be a place I look forward to returning to. My suggestion, have a conversation and eat what he suggests. You won’t regret a moment.

Delicious and my go to spot for turkish food. Imo, the tastiest rice and the meatball is splendid. Its definitely on the pricier side for the size of the portion but well worth the quality. If i had one complaint, it would be the portion is on the smaller side compared to competitors and generally doesnt get me full. would love an option to upgrade to a large for the main course menu at a reasonable price.

Amazing gem you need to explore! Murat is a talent chef you should discover. He wrote his own book on Turkish Cuisine, where he explains how to cook easy and delicious dishes from his country. Such an experience!

First time order today, Jan 21 2022. Ordered solely because of great reviews. Used Uber Eats to order. Ordered meat platter, ordered lamb kebab, meatball sandwich, lentil soup, baklava and bread. All meat, literally all meat is burnt and tastes bad because of it. Bread is burnt. Food is tasteless in general. Baklava is average. Not sure why they have so many good reviews. The guy on the front was not very pleasant to talk to when I was picking up the food. Not ordering here again.

Had a Wonderful Lunch with our Daughter at Kofte Piyaz . Murat Ersoy is a fantastic Chief and the food is delicious. We also bought a copy of his book; Turkish Cuisine: EASY-TO-MAKE MEZZE DISHES on Amazon. We will definatley return in the near future.

Food is amazing and vibes is just right, Turkish coffee after food and Home made Ayran , Murat bey is the real pro
