Amazing spot in the neighborhood! We arrived a little over an hour before close (8:45p) and our server acted like we were the first table of the evening. My partner has a few allergies, and not only did he ensure that the kitchen was aware, when there was a small goof, he corrected it and offered to throw in a free drink from the bar even after we insisted it wasn't necessary. I had the taco's (taco tuesday!) and my partner had the Day Cod sandwich, both of which were SO good. Highly recommend this place for the friendly staff, location, and quality of food!
The food for the most part was satisfying however for the price I expect more quality. For example I had raw clams and oysters very small. Clams 2.5 oysters 3.0 each.
Oh my Goodness! They had me at $ 1 oysters! What a lovely place! The food, service, and outdoor ambience was great! Take the F train to Carroll Street, a 2 min walk to Smith street and You are there! Enjoy! We did!
Came here for a get together with friends. We were about 8 people. We had reservations and did not have to wait to be seated. Unfortunately, we did have to wait a bit to get our drink orders in and then waited about 30 to 45 minutes to receive our drinks and order further. I do recommend switching out their house liquor for brands that you know and trust. A bunch of my buddies had a mean headache the day after drinking their vodka. I went with Tito's and I was fine. As far as their appetizers, they were all delicious with excellent portion size. Once the food came, it all came at once and fairly quickly. I ordered the Kittery burger, which is a massive burger. One thing I would add is the patty definitely could be juicier. I ordered my burger medium and it was fairly dry. Overall, I would come back here. I would order less since the portions are sizeable and order everything at once since it may be a bit of a wait.
Service was super slow, but food excellent and gotta love $1 oysters for happy hour.
Consistent, reliable neighborhood staple. Raw oysters and shrimp cocktail are top-notch, as are the lobster rolls. Clam chowder is yummy but thin for my taste. The rest of the menu is heavy on fried stuff, but the fried cod is worth the grease. Plenty of cocktail options and drink specials. "Kittery" fries have Old Bay and parmesan shake, very recommended if you like salty sides.
Been meaning to give this place a try, on the side of their corner building it says Fried Clams, Lobster and seafood. I was really in the mood for fried clams so we went in. Service was friendly but spotty and clumsy. The first thing I noticed was that there were no fried clams on the menu. I asked the waiter if they had any and he offered to check with the kitchen. First I was told that they had them, then I was told that a customer took the last order. This was strange since it was early and there was hardly anyone in the place that I could see. We wound up ordering bowls of New England Clam Chowder, the taste was not too bad but there was no sign of potatoes and you needed a magnifying glass to find the clams. I had their cod sandwich on a brioche roll which was not bad but was accompanied by some average fries. All in all a rather disappointing experience.
Amazing seafood restaurant with oysters, lobsters , scallops, mussels, calamari, shrimp and fish. Their menu is extensive and deciding on one dish was a challenge. We tried their clam chowder, fried calamari, linguine with mussels, grilled salmon and burger. Everyone loved their food and drinks. Service was friendly and prompt too. Will be returning whenever we crave seafood from now on.
