Adorable place to go for afternoon tea, all the selections were great - I only wish they would let you swap things (I don't like chocolate), but totally worth it. I could not get a reservation online, but showed up when they opened and the place was empty. Great service.
Salted egg lava cake
Went here for the 2nd time last Sunday, and will definitely say I won’t come back.We came in and the guy asked to check our covid vaccination but then said there was a 30 mins wait for a walk-in, which was annoying because he could’ve just told us to come back, instead of asking for our vax cards. Anyway, we asked to put our name down and he says, “since you’re the first one for a walk-in, I’ll remember your faces.”We came back and waited. The same guy who said “he’ll remember our faces” asked us again if we had a reservation and if not that’ll be a 30 min wait. Anyway, had to remind them that we just came back after they told us 30 mins ago that we should come back at a specific time since we’re walk-ins.Again, he should’ve taken our names down (like the other host did the last time we came a few days ago) because dealing with a lot of people I bet he wouldn’t remember.I gave an extra star because the server in charge of our table was nice and helpful. She said she recently started, but she was more welcoming than the host.As for food, the dessert was good but not so much the drink. I got the mochi^2. It would be nice to try other desserts but with the experience we had from the guy host, no thank you.
Takeout review: arrived on a busy weekend afternoon. All tables occupied, appeared short staffed. Took a few minutes to place takeout order. Patrons dining in appeared displeased with slow service. Very interesting menu, Thai iced tea and black sesame lava cakes were very tempting, nice variety of tempting drinks and teas. Got the hojicha Mille crepe cake. Disappointed it was dry and thick, consisting of crepes that appeared over cooked… flavor was good though. Would probably revisit on a week day. Cute date spot or gathering for friends.
Tried the regular latte and the salted egg yolk lava cake. Both were tasty, and although flavours for the cake weren't strong, overall was balanced with the ice cream as well.Came here for a group brunch, which I didn't pay for so can't comment on prices/value.
Will def recommend this black sesame lava cake! This place is very cute. More like a spot to bring your date or girlfriends.
Came here on a Friday night around 8pm with my boyfriend and was seated quickly. We ordered their lychee sky, hojicha mille crepe cake, sesame oat milk latte and an espresso. The presentation is beautiful for everything especially the lychee sky! My fave was the the hojicha ice cream that came with the mille crepe cake and the sesame latte.I would definitely come back and try other desserts on their menu!
I went to a bridal party here and it was lovely. The pastries and sandwiches were yummy and the drinks are really good. My favorite sweets were the cream puffs. I liked the green gypsy drink and dirty hojicha drink. My family really enjoyed the mini pineapple roast pork buns.
Friendly and fast service. The black sesame latte was thick and rich. The egg custard lava cake was life changing - perfect texture and amazing flavors. I’m planning my next trip to try other menu options!
Although the place closes at 11, the kitchen closes earlier around 10:30pm so make sure you get there before that! We had the black sesame lava cake, the hojicha mille cake, the heaven on earth yuzu cake and then individual scoops of their homemade ice cream. My personal favorite was the hojicha mille cake but my other friends liked the other ones so I’m glad there was something satisfy all taste buds. Their cakes are on the more subtle side and not extremely sweet. They have interesting ice cream flavors like honey chrysanthemum and hickory cookies and cream but its on the icier side and not super creamy.
