I had the pleasure of working with Kim and her team as they provided catering for a larger fundraising event. Kim was wonderful throughout the process and open to ensuring I had everything we needed for the event. She helped determine a menu, quantities, and even provided separate staff meals for our team. The food she and her team prepared was such a hit with our guests, she ended up selling out early! I cannot wait to work with Kim again soon and to go back myself. She really cares about the community and Kimpanadas is a gem of the Brooklyn food scene.
dried out wings, and unimaginative seasoning. the kicker was the sauce, it's the sauce you can buy at the restaurant depot that they sell in 5 gallon jugs for a few bucks. the cheapest, unhealthiest, chemical packed sauce... they charge 15$ for that, i expected better. these are not restaurateurs or even food lovers. kimpanadas is just a money grab.
All the empanadas I’ve tried have been delicious, the baked Mac and cheese is excellent, and all the baked goods are also incredibly tasty! So worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood. Cannot recommended this place enough!
This place is great. Every empanada I have tried has been delicious. The workers are always so nice and friendly!! I can’t walk by without stopping in!
We ordered Kimpanadas for a party I was having. Kim was easy to work with and helped me figure out what I needed. She even brought them on lovely trays that I didn’t have in the order. And we got a special treat tray of brownies that everyone loved. The spinach and cheese are maybe my favorite. Hard to choose. And the best part is any that were left over are delicious under the broiler for a few minutes the next couple of days!
I work for Medrite Urgent Care and Kim the owner came in and brought us empanadas and they were amazing. My favorite one was the chicken and mushroom was amazing. If your vegan or vegetarian the curry is great! Her brownies ?. I truly appreciate Kim. Please stop by and show her some love. Thank you again.
We liked the food. It’s very clean and my vegan squash version was healthy, which I liked (not greasy). The beef-cheese flavor was nice—it was not too spicy and not too bland. Very nice person who took our order, too. Thank you.
Had almost every empanada on the menu, one was better then the last! The catering menu was amazing and reasonably priced. GREAT woman owned local business. If you’re looking for great home made fresh food, look no further!
FIVE STARSKim is an extremely experienced and talented chef who decided to go out and open her own shop.Everything is tasty and everything is made with love, and it's why she now exclusively makes our holiday Rice Krispy Treats for the EDGE at Hudson Yards - and they are AMAZING. We cannot stop eating them. Please go by and pick up a snack or consider her for your next catered event you will not be disappointed!!!
Really fun place. Nice staff. Great food. They even have dog treats now! And they're open later than the places around. The Pernil and beef cheddar are my favs.
