This place was great. Went on a 'not so busy' night. It was quiet and the service was quick and excellent. Great place to stop by if you're in Greenpoint.
Usually good sush. But just stood there waiting an hour for an order I placed through their website. That is, a full hour standing, waiting, and checking. Bummer. Gave up and asked for a refund. They couldn't issue one so I'll have to charge back. Double bummer.
Great food and service. Plum wine was very good.
I've lived in New York for almost my entire life and KanaHashi is my favorite neighborhood sushi spot, hands down. It's a family run place in all the best ways. The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff are courteous and friendly and the prices are impossible to beat for the quality. I've seriously never gotten a bad meal at this place. Try their lunch special if you can too!
This restaurant serves subpar sushi and has even WORSE customer service. Do not waste your hard earned money here, they will harass you for more than 20% tip even when you dine with a small party of 2!
Fantastic food, very friendly staff. $3 sake. Briefly spoke with the server in Japanese though my level is basic. The server replied in very simple sentences. Very fun dinner.
I order to go a Salmon avocado roll, a spicy salmon roll, a yellow Tail scallion roll and Agedashi tofu. The salmon Avocado was red instead of salmon. And the yellow tail was also red instead of light pink.I called them and asked if they could deliver me a new meal and pick up the one we have here, so they have the proof. But they want me to walk all the way back and said that the cor was normal (I have never seen a Salmon that looked like tuna). And they say I could bring it back and they would give me a new one but that it would look the same. Which meant that I would have to interrupt the dinner to walk all the way back to get the same thing. Eventually they hang-up on me.So I ate the food and now I am feeling sick.A total bummer.I will not go back there after this terrible customer service which ruined my dinner.
In my opinion, you’re paying for the experience of dining in. The food isn’t that better than your typical sushi place but the restaurant inside is gorgeous. It’s not worth it unless you’re dining in, even then I’d rather go to Williamsburg if I was going for a sushi dinner night out.
I am addicted to their rock shrimp ! Sushi is delicious and fried rice! Service is great! Love coming here during the week to satisfy that craving.
Thanks to the app seated we found this place in Greenpoint had a wonderful time as a group of four. the service was great, beers were cold, sake was hot, And the sushi blew us away
