I loved the chicken pesto sandwich ... and the Fact that Wyandanch's Legendary "Rakim" had a pic on the wall along with Biggie Smalls. I knew I was in the right spot
I was in the area, & in the mood for cold cut sandwich. For starters, they have so many options to choose from, cold/hot sandwiches and hot food. The names of their sandwiches are pretty cool, it’s From movies and famous shows. Although the food is good, the service sucks. Idk if it was me, or the employees, but one of us seemed lost. The guy asked me what would I like to order, but then seemed confused when I ordered. It took him a little while to get it together. It was simple because We had cold cut sandwiches and ordered a side of fried ravioli. I heard this place used to be really good back in the days, but not so much now. I’ll go back again & try a hot sandwich next time.
I originally wanted to order chicken cheese fries, total came out to $30. I kindly said never mind and instead asked for a chicken sandwich on a hero with mozzarella cheese, total came out to $11.The sandwich was literally chicken cutlet and mozzarella cheese that's it. Perhaps it was my fault for not requesting lettuce, tomato, or other toppings but I mean I have ordered a chicken sandwhich countless of times in hundreds of location, lettuce, tomato is usually a must.Either way, sandwich was good, extremely dry but good.Service was fast and cashier was nice.
Excellent food, excellent quality, excellent price, and the owner is a gentleman. Runs a clean, worthwhile business.. For a great eat, especially the roast beef with black gravy, my favorite... Go here.... Support this excellent deli... Worth the drive if you live further.. ..its a easy 5 star.....Thank you to John's for the excellent meal.. Greatly Appreciated..
Sandwiches are fantastic. You wont be disappointed at John's Deli. It's a small place so order ahead and take-out is definitely recommended. Check out their menu online. Hot and cold sandwiches, soups and plates. Food is fresh and tastes great.
Love Johns, it's a phenomenal deli, sandwiches are always thick with generous piles of meat! Definitely get your money's worth here.
They were famous for their roast beef but now days it tastes like deli meat. The onions aren't sweet and the gravy tastes different also. New owners aren't keeping up with the older traditions. And they raised the prices
I got here at 230pm on a Friday and it was not that busy and ordered the Johnny roast beef with onions, mozzarella and sauce. The meat was fresh and the bread crispy but it was missing something that I could boost this review to 5 stars. Price is ok and there is indoor sitting is fine.
This place is a spot! Tons of sandwiches with other items. My wife got a breakfast sandwich, Jesse Katsopolis (at 11:30 AM) and I got the Glengarry (Tuesday special) and some pasta fagioli. The soup was great and I’d definitely try the others based on it. I’d also like to try some of the breakfast sandwiches as they seemed pretty legit. Looking forward to coming back here again soon and getting Johnny Roastbeef.
Johnny Roast beef is sooooo phenomenal I swear everything about is a master piece.
