Classic diner style restaurant. Quick service, ample options, and an authentic neighborhood atmosphere. French toast is tasty, but hash and eggs is ?
Delicious diner food at a great price, service is always amazing and they’re super quick with to go orders. Been coming here for years no complaints.
great local diner with quick service and just standard selections of food. the french toast had great flavor and the omelette is just solid. great BLT. they're super fast here and just a great little bustling spot. love it.
It's ok. Traditional diner vibe with a very affordable menu. This food is nothing special, but service is quick and the food fills the tum. Also one of the only few places flipping omelettes at 5:00 a.m.
Fast, no frills diner serving up eggs, hash browns and toast starting at 5am. It’s magic.
We love this place!! Crispy waffles and egg whites scrambled with feta and spinach is my favorite... Very kid friendly. One of Brooklyn's best kept secrets
It's okay. Sometimes, I feel it might be overcrowded or too many orders. Some times the orders come out wrong and they give you an attitude if you correct them. Not horrible. Not great. It's fills the tummy when newded.
I really enjoyed John's! Fast courteous service, and food was really good! Nice corner diner with a homey neighborhood feel. Highly recommend! ?
Terrible uuugghhh we got a fish deluxe sandwich and a turkey burger. The fish was horrible and the turkey burger was tough as whip leather. I ended up throwing it in the garbage.
Really busy corner spot. I've only ever had gyro platters from them but, their other offerings seem to be liked by all. It's a small place in a very busy area so, it's best to get takeout and even better to call in your order in advance since the place is so small and there really isn't anywhere to stand while waiting. And, you will have to wait during the lunch rush. Get there early if you plan to dine in or you will be taking your food to go.If you drive, be prepared to drive around looking for a parking spot and don't be afraid to park a few blocks away and walk back. If picking up, it's best to take someone with you to run in and pick up the order.I would have given five stars if they actually used the real gyro meat that comes on the giant rotisserie skewer rather than the processed, packaged semicircular strips that don't taste as good. There is nothing like the meat from the giant skewer that you used to find all around the city at places that used to sell gyros back in the day, very flavorful and delicious. They could do like some of the lunch trucks do that still use them and cut it all off the skewer upon delivery, store it and cook it on the grill as ordered since they don't have the room in their small place as it's currently set up.Aside from that, I do recommend the place. A lot of area retirees frequent the place as do the work crowd in the area and many of the various delivery drivers that go thru the area. Typical NY greasy spoon with all of the greasy spoon fare that will remind you the old days.Oh, and nice, friendly service!
