Such a lovely restaurant with such a great vibe, great decor, fabulous drinks and beautifully crafted dishes. Everything is so fresh and well thought out. The staff is super friendly and the place is always busy. Definitely make sure to grab a reservation on Resy if you want to ensure getting a table. I'd highly recommend the seasonal burger from the kitchen and also the Smoked Paloma from the bar. So many other gems to explore on the menu. I'd order a whole bunch of things and share amongst your guests so you can get the full experience!

Made a reservation and were sat outside — we asked to be moved inside (it was 5:45 pm and there were plenty of open tables) but they declined. Sat outside in the freezing cold since they charge for cancellations. Perhaps we just didn’t complain enough because another table arrived after us and were moved inside when they requested. Then the heater died above our table ?Food was just okay, definitely overpriced for what it is (even by NYC standards). Was excited to try this place out but definitely won’t be back.

A neighborhood favorite—the entrees always have a seasonal touch and are always delicious. The burger and hangar steak are standouts, as well as the cocktails. The staff are also usually pretty friendly (but super busy), even through the challenges of the past two years. Reservations are a must for evenings and weekends

I don't usually care enough about service to mark a place down but this was truly terrible. It was a shame because the food was good if a little over priced. I won't go in to everything that happened but just the most notable incident...on clearing plates from the table the server dropped a fork that knocked over my husband's Bellini. It spilled all over the table. The server went off with the plates and I assumed he'd be back with a cloth. Nope. He just carried on clearing other plates from our group. I cleaned it up with my napkin. At this point he had not even said sorry. He overheard a member of our group saying he hadn't said sorry. Came over and said "sorry about that". Still didn't take the wet napkin of replace the drink. He brought the check. My husband asked if he could top up his drink. He replied "yes I'm going to do that" as if he was always intending to, which clearly he wasn't. Then he brought back a glass with a small amount of champagne in it. Pic provided ?. The drink was 2/3rds full when spilled. This was one of about 5 different instances of terrible service. Actually some of the worst I've had in Brooklyn. Just a shame. Didn't spoil the brunch as it was so bad it was basically comical but if you care about service it's not for you.

Did a pick up order today-Brussel sprouts-cauliflower-sweet potatoesMy order was warm and ready for me to pick up when I got there. I didn't have to wait at all.All were great, flavorful, clean. I'd definitely do a sit down meal there.Pro tip: be careful handling the cauliflower if you have a light colored manicure. It will stain!Besides that, great meal :-)

One of those rare flawless neighborhood restaurants. Don’t miss out on their provisions shop inside!

one of my favorites. try the burger.

James has a friendly staff, great dishes, and good cocktails. This is a great place to connect with a relaxed atmosphere.

Love going here for brunch, the food is delicious and staff are really friendly/accommodating. It fills up fast, so get there on the early side unless you don't mind a wait. But it's worth it either way.

At this point it is a little ridiculous that the restaurant doesn’t have more indoor service, relegating dinners to small sidewalk tables and typical covered street dining. Smoked trout was good; cornmeal covered skate was overly salty. Vegetable sides are blah. It was a favorite. No more.
