What a mixed bag. So confusing. The waitress...second day, no idea what she's doing or apparently any of their dishes. Took one of our orders, walked away without even looking at me. Tried to upsell us bottles water and said they "didn't have" tap water. The bread and mushakal were fantastic. The salteh... embarrassingly bad. It had fewer pieces of okra than the mushakal and 1 piece of eggplant. Zero meat, no squash (no potatoes or carrots either but they aren't listed on the menu). There was no helbah in the soup. Nor did they bring me any on the side. Also, it's $19 and says it comes with lamb broth, salad and chutney sauce. It came with none of those things. I had to walk to the kitchen to ask what was going on. They just repeated the words I said. Also. The soap "dispensers" in the bathrooms were ½ full Dixie cups
Charged us for an 11:30 delivery, but only started work on it (according to Postmates) and hour later. Nearly two and a half hours later, only half of the order was delivered, and the celery in the shawarma had sand in it. Tried calling for assistance and was immediately hung up on.Used to love Hadramout - not sure what’s been going on. A truly terrible experience.
Good food bad service, the pregnant Asian employee I believe her name was Laiza or Lesla is rude and was probably high when she served us, she had a bad attitude and seemed to not care about customer service at all. I was there with a couple friends and was very unhappy with the service she provided I recommend the food but wouldn’t go back if I was to see that person serving in that restaurant. She needs to stay home until she has her baby so her hormones don’t affect her work ability.
The girl looks like Arabian , she is so gorgeous ❤️ and very nice behavior her customer service was so good and the food was delicious. We ordered family combo it was amazing … ??? I just love this place and definitely will come back .
Rhea’s service was so good and the food was delicious.
Very delicious food! Why 3 then, why not 5? Well, they need to improve the service. Went there twice. One time we did dine in and another day we ordered to go. The lady at the service was bad and rude both of the days. The funny part is when I called for to go order, the lady was shouting and saying "WHAT DO YOU WANT"? No greetings at all and seems pretty rude. Thankfully the food was really good both the times. Love their chicken fahsa and lab soup. So in Summary -Food - 5/5, Service - 2/5
I'll keep it short and sweet. If you want to learn the art of hospitality then, you have to experience this restaurants service. The wait staff here is hard working. When you place your order make sure you know that you will want to go home with extra food because it's so delicious! =) This place is part of New York City history. This should be a national landmark in my humble opinion.
A very good Yemeni restaurant near Brooklyn heights and downtown Brooklyn. Food tastes great. But they need to clean up the sitting area and surroundings. Sorry to say but serving plates and environment are not clean as supposed to be. Food is great. Another good thing is they are open late so if you are looking for late night dinner this place is a must to try. Thanks.
first it seems like a deli. but once we sat, the food, presentation and service blew me away. plates came out hot and sizzling. from complimentary salad and soup to entrees, were amazing.
The place was very clean and the staff were nice. Food was delicious.
