The focaccia style pizza here is sooooooo gooood! I love this place because you can go alone or with a friend and it feels easy and relaxing. The service is a 6/10 I don’t get a super welcoming vibe but it’s a chill neighborhood spot that I’ll be going to again.
The food and wine are great but the owner is very rude and curt. It's a shame, because I've had a lovely experience at this estrablishment when other people have been working, but the owner is unnecessarily hostile.
My partner and I visited yesterday evening around 5:10-5:15pm. When we entered, the owner was the only one inside and looked busy setting up for the night. We walked up to the counter to look at the menu and the owner asked us if he could help us. Noting, again, how busy he looked, and our lack of hurry, I said “thanks we’re just looking” and proceeded to look at the menu. The owner asked again with more force in his tone- seemingly not having heard me- and so my partner responded “we’re just looking- maybe we’ll get a table”. The owner turned in a huff and replied rather rudely “ok well you need to let me know. when someone speaks to you you need to respond”. Reading his response to my original review of just one star and no comment- I think we made the right choice in just walking out after his remark. Why does this regular man think he can talk to people in such a disgusting manner?
I actually had an ok time the first time we went here. The second time we walked in, the owner grew frustrated. He must've thought we didn't answer his "can I help you" and said "when someone asks a question, you respond." So I made a 1-star rating with no review. Immediately, this owner responds to that rating with an incredibly judgemental message about us being stoned or coming back from zoom calls (what?).If you're going to be judging someone's social competence, you should at least have some yourself. You could've said "excuse me" or "I couldn't hear you." My partner responded and you did not acknowledge her response. I guess you didn't hear either of us. I understand hearing problems, I don't have great hearing myself. You don't have to get so grumpy about it, though.
Cute and spacious spot for Detroit style pizza. There are good options for red sauce lovers and those who prefer to go without. Whichever option you choose, you really can’t go wrong.
Very good pan pizza and wine bar. Nice neighborhood vibe.
Such a cute spot with a great neighborhood vibe. Wine is nice. Only drawback is that there aren’t really any plant-based options on the menu for those who don’t eat dairy. A vegan pizza option would be fantastic.
Very nice attentive staff good food and wine. Simple high quality
Hard to overstate just how wonderful this place is. The staff are friendly and courteous, always with the perfect wine recommendation. If the lighting was a bit brighter it'd be the perfect place to sit with a book on a weeknight. The food is excellent - I think they call it Corner Pizza & Wine now - but the sides are just as good as the pizza. Will definitely be back more frequently.
Pizza was not good.
