Delicious food, attentive staff and it was easy to just walk in and get a table. I've been to a different Ethiopian restaurant in the city but this one is much better. Everything we ate was delicious and the sour bread was not too sour, it was perfect!

I got the vegan combo which includes 4 sides. I got lentils, spicy beans, carrot, cabbage, and potatoes mix, and collards. The injera bread was perfect. The portions are small but I was full when finished and could not have eaten more. I would go back especially because it is near the r train and easy to get to from my place.

The food was delicious! Besides Indian food, Ethiopian had the largest variety of vegetarian/vegan food. The variety is fantastic! The injera bread is delicious and so we're all the 8 sides put plate had. Absolutely fantastic, would come again.

Best Ethiopian restaurant in the city. I loved the katenga with kitfo as an appetizer! We came with our Ethiopian friend so this place definitely has the authentic stamp. The servers are excellent as well!

I visited here once about 4-5 years ago and I saved it in maps because it was great! This time not so much :/I went with my girlfriend around 4pm and we were the only people in there. It smells nice and the ambiance is decent. We asked to sit at a table but the hostess/waitress said “no” as it was a table for 4 and we were only 2. Normally that makes total sense, but we were the only people in there. The hostess/waitress clearly did not have the passion to work there and the customer is not always right. That’s fine. The table we sat at was wobbly. Something that takes 30sec to fix was not fixed, not a good sign. The food was ok. I ordered a tea and the glass was dirty. We ordered a combo platter for 2 and the food was decent. The chicken normally falls off the bone, but it didn’t so I had to eat it by picking it up like a drumstick.Overall I’ve removed this restaurant from my saved places and won’t be back. Service is important to me but the service like the food seemed to lack passion or interest in serving the customer.Still looking for the best Ethiopian!

Yummy Ethiopian food! I always have it home made but was craving take out and it did not disappoint! Staff was friendly. Portions are big. We got the vegetarian combo for 2 and we were able to eat it for 2 separate meals. Definitely check them out.

Food was good enough but not served hot or in the traditional way. For $30 I was full as a medium sized woman, but there were no leftovers. Not a good value. The meat entree was mostly sauce and very little meat. I'll choose another restaurant when I'm in the area.

The food was definitely good. It was odd that the meat combination meal wasn't on the menu, so we had to ask about it to learn it was an option. They make their own honey wine, so we couldn't get a bottle but had to order by the glass. It wasn't great. They have these big plastic Covid dividers which made me feel a bit claustrophobic. I think it could be a 4 star takeout.

A very nice Ethiopian restaurant with great Vegan varieties. Quantity is pretty good and very budget friendly. Seating was a bit tight. To ask for a seating you have to go too in. Staff was courteous.

There was a bit of a wait when I arrived at Ghenets however I was seated within 10 minutes. I was a party of one so I did not mind sitting at the bar but the seats were a little uncomfortable and the server did offer me a table when one opened which was sweet. African food, especially Ethiopian has really been a favorite of mine lately and they did not disappoint. I ordered the yebeg tibs and everything was so flavorful. I ordered a drink that had ginger and green apple in it however, I cannot remember the name. It was very delicious and they definitely showed love on the liquor! I wanted to order another one but I decided against it since I don't drink much. My only dissatisfaction comes from the fact that the injera was a bit cold. My server checked on me frequently. I would definitely come back if I visit Brooklyn again!
