What an incredible place. My in-laws were visiting from abroad and the owner made them feel so welcomed.None of us were Georgian and still we loved the food.Go for the kachapuri. It’s the best I ever had.The prices are extremely fair too.A+
We had a fantastic meal at Georgian Cuisine. Started with spinach with walnuts and proceeded to Acharuli which is similar to a calzone but like a boat with a egg in the middle to mix with the hot cheese. Delish. Ended with Khinkai which is a soup dumpling with pork/beef. Topped it off with Kindzmauri- Vaziani wine served cold. Ceceli, the owner, treated us to the history of Georgia cuisine and let us knows all the meals are prepared fresh! Certainly tasted that way! We ate so fast, didn’t take pictures except for the takeout for our son. We had a fabulous meal.
I got a soup kharcho and a chicken kebab. So good. It took a while but the food was incredible. The kebab meat was so so juicy and soft. The soup was very well seasoned and there was plenty of beef inside as well. Incredible, really. The Turkish coffee was okay. Very subtle in flavor.
Love the Georgian style salad at this place! We get it every time we go there. The chicken kebab and Khachapuri Imeruli taste great too! Food is prepared by world's greatest chef Roini.
first time having Georgian food - we tried the khachapuri, beef/pork momos, & tomato & cucumber salad with feta
I enjoyed the food, I've had Georgian cuisine a handful of times and the cheeseboat and dumplings were definitely good renditions, they just get a bit samey ultimately. Service was friendly.
First time trying Georgian food. It was good albeit a bit on the heavy side. Price is acceptable (wouldn't say pricey but not incredibly affordable for the portion/amount of food either).
Absolute best experience in every way here ! Food, service, wine were all amazing ! The cheese boat is a must, we also tried a few other dishes as well and everything was so delicious. Their orange wine is really good too. This place is a must try small business. Our server was the sweetest too. We will definitely be back!
We’ve been coming to this lovely restaurant for years (mom lives nearby and that’s her favorite place) and think they have the best authentic Georgian food in NYC. From delicious khachapuri (cheese bread) and eggplant rolls with walnuts as appetizers to grilled trout and a variety of shish kebabs with Georgian style fries - everything is so fresh and packed with flavor! Georgian wines are definitely worth trying as well. The owners embody legendary Georgian hospitality, service is courteous and efficient. Georgian Cuisine is worth the trip to Bay Ridge any time!
What a lovely Georgian experience this restaurant offers. The plates of food are shareable sizes. I highly recommend the cheese boat. It’s a classic and delicious way to start your meal and I guarantee it will not disappoint. My partner ordered the garlic chicken and I ordered the mushroom and potatoes. All the food came sizzling hot to the table. The restaurant staff is very kind, attentive and engaging. They warmly introduced themselves to us as if we visited their house for a meal. We had a pleasant experience from start to finish. I will be returning in the summer to try their veggie dumplings. Awesome cultural experience. Thank you Georgian Cuisine!
