Even after a forced relocation years ago (thanks a bunch, Bruce Ratner), this wonderful and quirky establishment landed on its feet in the South Slope, to the betterment of its surroundings and longtime fans.
Great dive bar with funky decor and spectacular staff. Highly recommend checking out their events. Mondays and Wednesdays are comedy nights so if you're in the mood for some free live entertainment, come by and watch some raw stand-up that you can't get anywhere else. Be sure to check their site because the schedule changes occasionally.
Classic spot! They did an amazing job relocating it and it still has a great mix of local neighborhood types with an artsy crowd as well. Some very friendly bartenders as well. Definitely worth a visit.
One of the best bars in the neighborhood. Always a fun eclectic crowd, amazing decorations, and great live music.
Fantastic Brooklyn bar. It has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced. The bartenders are also extremely chill, friendly, and let u take ur time unlike a lot of NYC bars these days. I would definitely recommend Freddy's.
My sister lives nearby. I love going with her whenever I'm in the area. All the bartenders there are awesome. Each one with their own unique vibes.
Good local bar, open late, good tunes, and any bar playing hard boiled on the TV is automatically great in my eyes
So I had a gig here for a birthday party in the back room it was awesome Freddy's bar is the best Dive Bar in Brooklyn
We were here on a Friday night because my husband was a guest soloist by the band that was having their Monkees commemoration performance night. Inside, I thought it's nice. It's a good size bar with food choices. I had tater tots, some small empanada like food items plus dark beer. Good service. It wasn't that bust but there was a big crowd inside their separate performance space.
A fun quirky bar with very friendly hipster vibe and nice staff. Heard some excellent music- bluegrass fiddle.
