I was in the neighborhood walking my dog and randomly stumbled upon this rice bar and the food was great!! I ordered the fried pork chop and chicken basil fried rice; the rice was moist, fluffy, and flavorful and the pork chop was well seasoned. I would definitely recommend ordering from here. I'm so happy I took time to read through the ratings, the low star ratings rarely discuss the food quality.
The food here was amazing and the service was great. The waitress/bartender was super attentive and provided great suggestions. The food was delicious and so was the drinks she recommended. The ombiance of the environment was also comforting and inviting. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone in the area.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Came by with my wife last night and ordered the pastrami fried rice and the imported root beer. The taste was absolutely insane and I enjoyed every bite more than the last. My wife kept trying to steel bites, I did not allow :). The service was impeccable and so friendly. Will be back very, very soon. Thank you for the experience.
Taiwanese sausage fried rice was amazing. They have their own recipe and was not overly sweet. We also love the vegetable peanut noodles because it was loaded with zucchini noodles! I’m excited to try their pork chop.
Too good. Best popcorn chicken I’ve had in NY and I live here, fried rice goes without saying, small menu, every item so tasty.
Fried rice is usually a simple food, but Fan takes it to another level of deliciousness. The absolute highlight was the Bone In Pork Chop Fried Rice. It was truly authentic Taiwanese Pork Chop - crispy, salty and so tender - and matched so well with the fluffy fried rice. The popcorn chicken also tasted great but could have been softer meat. Everything paired well with a good selection of beer and a really nice bar. Finally, the service was friendly, attentive and simply excellent.
Probably the best quality fried rice in the hood, but also the most expensive fried rice in my life (considered cheap in NYC). However, the pastrami fried rice really got me. Smooth and flavorful. I do feel homesick after this meal. Recommend to all locals:)- just a lost Taiwanese visiting NYC who stumbled upon this shop
If I could give this place 6 stars I really would. The people are so sweet, the vibes are giving, and the RICE IS AMAZING. Both its presentation and taste are little glimpse of happiness and fulfillment. Each bite of the rice is the perfect one and the spices and total mix are all exquisite and delightful - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! <333 i love the mushroom one the most, but trust me any one you try you will fall into the bowl like a metaphorical pillow of love life and joy..!
Awesome food! I’ve been to Taiwan and this fried rice is very authentic. The popcorn chicken was fantastic and the fried rice was such a large portion and delicious. Highly recommended.
Loved the pastrami fried rice and great beer! Also, friendly service. Excited to have this restaurant in the neighborhood.
