They take to long to bring your food. Very disappointed with my experience cause I waited over an hour or two and the food still wasn’t ready. Not to mention, I travel a long distance just to go to this place. I definitely would not recommend for a place of eating out.
Fun comedy show that's weekly, $7 berry Trulia on tap. Female bartenders were friendly.
First, this venue is much bigger than I expected and there is a lot of seating! I attended an event here and was impressed with the food and drink options that were reasonably priced, and the backyard area is really nice. This is definitely a dive bar and the bartenders are super nice. Essence also hosts a lot of different events like karaoke, and is available to rent out for larger events
Local bar. Serving bar fare wings, fries, and such. Mixed drinks range from 12 to about 17 dollars. I went on a Friday night the atmosphere was pretty dry. The few people there was watching the game on TV. Sometimes Essence can be a lively meeting place just wasn't happening that night.
ordered a fried chicken sandwich instead I got a hard piece of chicken with American cheese and lettuce drenched in bleu cheese. Ended up throwing the whole thing away. Hot bleu cheese is a smell no one should come across.
Not a lot on tap but friendly staff & some regulars who have sone monster pipes that you feel lucky just to be a member of the audience when they perform
The Rasta pasta is so mid!!!!! Full of spice & no salt, waste of seasoning tbh. The chicken is literally just grilled chicken you put on a salad. Not giving at all. Had high expectations but this is the worst ever.
I have been going here for many years. A mature crowd, great sound system, great live bands, comedians and karaoke. The Dee Jay's they have on staff are great. Food and drinks are about average.
Terrible first time experience. I ordered a meal (directly from their website) at 8:06pm (recieved confirmation), called to check on it about an hr later. They claim the order wasn't showing up at all. Had to transfer me to the manager who also claimed it wasn't showing up. Then he claimed it just came through while we were on the phone. I immediately cancelled. I added time screenshots showing time stamps and even the Door Dash driver was texting me saying they told him it'll be longer. Smh A mess.
