Waiter was attentive, Food was decent. Matza ball soup was a bit too salty. Received bill and notice a service charge of $13 that we were unaware of. Not a way of conducting business. Customers should be informed before hand.
Delicious (but not too heart healthy) food. Real NY Kosher Deli. The real deal. Humongous portions. Must try the hot navel pastrami on club (the fattier the better).
Great kosher food. Love the cole slaw and pickles on the table. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The sandwich combo we had soup instead of fries but the waiter brought a small dish of them gratis.
Nothing fancy. Good food good service full belly.
I loved it it was a great place good for finishing mascot and they gave free food best regards and I don’t think they have any more to choose lol I think they have to do something that doesn’t make me a happy new kid but they are so good lol I think I got
It's a clean place, staff were nice and helpful when ever I'm in Brooklyn I try to find Jewish delis that have good food. Essen has good hot dogs and knishes, didn't want anything else at the time but if I'm in the neighborhood again I would definitely try something else. Only problem is parking is a pain.
Ok..so the service is well..just about what you'd expect from a kosher deli...a bit of chaos wrapped in a whole lot of schmaltz. However, this is definitely worth the trip if you are in the area and like playing "catch me if you can" with Ocean Parkway's ridiculous speed traps. The food will almost...emphasis on almost take you back to the days of Bernstein's on Essex. So happy I was able to make it.there the corned beef was great and the grilled hot dogs with mustard and potato salad on it (The only way to go) was a trip back in time.
Love the old style deli vibe. The food is always fresh and tasty with big portions and stuffed sandwiches go for the honeybeef or pastrami on rye maybe try the stuffed derma and my favorite the sesame chicken.
Amazing place to go with friends and family you can go with huge groups as well the portions are huge so if you go with a group just order less because you can feed 2 or 3 people (depending what size they are) but over all an amazing experience
Food was delicious and great quality sandwiches. My family really enjoyed the fried kanish!
