Best spanish food in the Clinton Hill/ Fort Green area part of Brooklyn!
I won't recommend this restaurant you will pay a good amount of money to eat here, and leave hungry.
Everything on the menu is so delicious i been eating at this Latin restaurant for years cause the food is always fresh and taste so good. Through out the years i had everything on the menu and not once have i ever encountered something wrong. The staff/service is wonderful very friendly environment great hospitality each time i eat inside or order take out i feel like if im right at home. Thank you El Cofre you guys Rock Big Time. The deserts are so freaking delicious ? ?
Always LOVED them in High school. Food is always delicious. This time, my chicken was a lil too pink for me this time and red beans smell a lil sour ?
I'm so glad i found this spot, having lived in Puerto Rico for 3 years the place hits the spot anytime I'm craving Latin food. Food is fresh, tasty and good quality. The prices are super reasonable for the area especially the $10 lunch special and the portions are definitely on the larger side. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pretty nice too and the place is kept clean. Highly recommend for some delicious cheap Latin food.
Paella desired many things and probably the least favorite I've ever had
El Cofre is a staple for those looking for Latin food on Myrtle Avenue, in Brooklyn. The owner and the workers are all super friendly... and the food is even better! Every time I eat here I feel like I got a wholesome home cooked meal from my mom or grandma. Definitely 5 stars for this flavorful spot, where the prices are affordable for anyone too! GRACIAS!
Had lunch there today. The food was mediocre. We ordered lobster well that's what I thought. We were given the lobster body minus the claws and the tail. Owner made excuses on feeding customers (my family and I) scraps for $30.00 bucks. Rice was hard, beans lacked flavor and the chicken was horrible. I guess I have to find a new place to eat when in Brooklyn.
I don't know what happened.. this is one of my favorite places to eat. However the food i had today was horrible. The rice was dry..the chicken lacked flavor and the staff was invisible... my son had the lobster smh..it may be best to say the following about my experience; If u have nothing nice to say it may be best to say nothing at all...
Placed an order for 40 ppl $398 for Xmas party. Order was not ready on time we had to go & pick it up because order was too big for delivery. Asked if we get any soda with our order & the person in charge said no yet if you order a combo meal you'll get a soda but he offered us 1 can of soda to share with 40 ppl . I guess they really don't need new business. They won't be getting our company business again. Let's hope it tastes good. Not to mention the manager in charge treated us as if he didn't care.
