Delicious food, great to share with friends at a group dinner. Wonderful service, the owner stopped by often to check in. Drinks were great too. And all felt so reasonably priced! 10/10.

Excellent food (we got the potato, cauliflower, maitake, shrimp, and eggplant dishes) but there were a few things lacking.First off, it was HOT in there. There were open flame candles on small, high top tables which I thought were adding to the heat and seemed pretty unnecessary and dangerousThe wait staff were insanely nice but very slow and not very attentive. Our food came out (by the runner) VERY quickly but after that, it took a LONG time to get waiters attention for water, dessert, closing out bill, etc. To be fair, the restaurant was 75% packed and there only seemed to be 2-3 waiters. The shrimp were lacking a bit - the oil was full of garlic and hot Chile but it still had no flavor.Great drinks (spicy mango mash and ginger mojito)Overall, very good restaurant and since it came out to $100 pretip for 2 people with dessert and 2 drinks and 5 dishes (after which we were STUFFED) - I think it's a decent deal.

Not my first time at El Born - def won’t be my last!!! The food is ALWAYS amazing! Great place for meeting up with friends, sharing/trying multiple plates and won’t break the bank. Love and highly recommend this great neighborhood find.

Came to dinner for my partner's birthday and experienced awful, negligent service. Took 45 minutes for an order of potatoes to come out as we watched everyone else's food go by. Servers walked past us and actively ignored us. When we explained how long we'd been waiting for our food the server made excuses about how busy they are on Tapas Tuesday. We've come here a few times before (also on Tapas Tuesday) but will not be returning after this experience. Our suggestion - hire more servers!

Second time here, first time for a proper dinner. sure as hell helps to scratch the itch of missing Spain! Service here is always super-friendly, but does sometimes move at a very Spanish pace (i.e. the "done with all food, wanting to order dessert" to "finally got a check" portion of the dinner was close to if not more than an hour...), which will undoubtedly leave some NY folks confused/annoyed, but if you're prepared for that.. it's super damn good food. the Oxtail with Basil Bechamel alone would have been worth the entire dinner.... will be back for sure.

Really enjoyable. The menu names are actually in Catalan not Castilian Spanish which is interesting. It is authentic to some degree. The dishes are either really good or just what you’d expect. Service is fast and accommodating. Enjoyed my time here and would come back.

The service was exceptional - atmosphere was very fun (cute backyard!) and the food was so delicious that I will definitely be coming back and recommending it!

Incredible experience from start to finish! Perfect for a group of 6 - we did the Chef's prix fix, which was all excellent. The waitstaff was super cognizant of allergies for the table, and were so nice. 10/10 recommend!

Very noisy. Low value for money.

Average experience compared to my first time, which was great and why I wanted to come back. This time around the food came out too fast and it was hard to get the server's attention, everything was still delicious, but wasn't as polished for the price.
