Really and truly the best hot dog I've ever had in my life. We keep coming back. And if that wasn't enough, the people that work there are really warm, friendly, inviting and Dog Day Afternoon just has this beautiful aura about it. Anyone can go there any time of day, no matter how old you are and guaranteed to leave happy. An added bonus is they're super dog friendly, so much so that our dog, even 20 or more minutes away knows the way and can lead us to Dog Day for a delicious kielbasa treat!! Can't imagine the neighborhood without Dog Day Afternoon and honestly since they've opened their presence has made the street of Prospect Park West, the neighborhood of Windsor Terrace and the borough of Brooklyn a better place!! They've made a true, lasting impact and we appreciate them.
Best Dog Game in Town. Delicious hotdogs and Chicago Beef Sandwich and Holy Miley they now have Frito Pie
Chicago dog was legit.
Great selection of gourmet hot dogs and friendly staff. I recommend the Chicago or the Polish dogs.
Tried 1 of everything, except the polish ( so popular it was sold out!) Everything was absolutely delicious. The Chicago snap dog is loaded with veggies and has a tasty snap with each bite. The Chilli cheese dog is loaded( remember your napkins). The beef is hot, wet and addictive, as is the mushroom! Can't wait to come back
I live around the corner and just discovered this place today, but wish I knew about it sooner. The Chicago dog and the Chili dog were so good that it took me about 2 min to finish them off and I had to write a review. The owner is really friendly and the place sports some awesome 80's retro vibes. They have an arcade machine and sell vinyl records too!
Never had a Chicago style hot dog before but always wanted to. I had one here and it did not disappoint. I also had a cheese fries as well. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and the place was cool. Good music playing and an arcade machine with some records next to it. I will definitely be back to try the Italian beef sandwich.
There aren't a lot of places where you can get a decent hot dog. Thank goodness for Dog Day Afternoon.Bread isn't stale. The dogs are plump. I wish they were nippy (not skinless) but they are packaged well for take out so they arrive pristine to your house. Also more pictures would help. Was excited to try the Chicago dog but I'm not really a vegetable person:)If I had the time I would have gave Marvel Vs Capcom a shot!
Cute li'l spot serving a legit Chicago dawg. Although I'd say that the Polish is the way to go!
Phenomenal hot dog, will deffo be going back!!
