Best sandwich shop around. It's a little expensive but it's worth every penny.

What can I say about Defonte's other than it's just plain amazing? Wandered in the first time when I was in Brooklyn for work, and looking for a quick bite. Months later I saw them on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and started shouting for my wife to come in the room so she could see the place I brought the incredible sandwiches home from. If you love a classic Brooklyn deli, this is the place for you!
The sandwiches here are the best hands down and the service here is always top notch. I recommend trying they out when you find yourself in the area.
I got the Cuban and it was delicious! The whole shop smells amazing! They only take cash but have an atm inside.
Came here after seeing the review from Belli, it was a great sandwich, nowhere near as full as the reviews from belli though. Flavorful and big enough for 1 person to eat.
After years of trying their sandwiches the Roast Pork Special is still my all-time favorite. On Fridays they make fried shrimp and both the Po'boy and Parmigian are excellent.
Yeah Defonte’s is the real deal. Sure no one behind the counter wears a mask. But the sandwiches. My favorites are the Red Hook Special, the Enzo, and of course anything that has the fried eggplant. The guys are fast and they take good care of you so make sure to tip. Cash only. Get the large sandwich, you’ll be glad you did.
The best sandwich shop I have ever been to! The Roast pork special! And the sliced steak in grave are out of this world! Whenever I am in the area I grab a few sandwiches and of course the stuffed cherry peppers also!!
