Disappointing as of late…We’ve been ordering sushi exclusively from Daigo since 2020, and we’ve consistently ordered the same items: salmon avocado rolls, spicy tuna rolls and miso soup. Unfortunately, today’s order completely missed the mark. We were first surprised by the change in packaging - which once was all paper and branded is now cardboard and plastic, even the sauce sizes have been reduced. The miso soup was totally different - last time it was full of tofu and flavor, today it taste like it was from a paste I could find at the grocery store. Lastly, and the biggest disappointment was that the size of the rolls was drastically reduced and very uneven.

just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of 4th avenue is a small oasis called Daigo. beautiful and minimal, here, the sushi and the chef are the stars of the show. have some local sake, get the cut sushi (the luscious toro and the very soft, sweet botan ebi, or raw shrimp)and watch the circus go by.
Fantastic, high quality sushi! Love every roll on the menu, especially Alaskan snow crab, black cod, and spicy tuna. 10/10
Very nice intimate place with great decor. Incredibly fresh fish. We ordered 4 rolls between the two of us and just had to get 2 ikura hand rolls afterwards because they looked so good when the chef was preparing them.
A well prepared but un pretentious oasis of calm in the brutal sea that is the current constant development of 4th Ave. The food is great and prepared well. Get the miso soup and disassociate from the chaos of the city.
My favorite sushi in NYC. Always so fresh.
my sushi was bad - as in, i gagged when i opened the box.it was a mess, too, but that might have been the delivery guy’s doing, so i won’t fault them for that.but no one should send out sushi that smells like death.
This was a lovely spot to visit during a Brooklyn lunch date. The ambiance, music, and service was perfect!Thank you for the awesome food.
Daigo is a small, quiet, intimate place to enjoy some reasonably priced, quality sushi. We had dinner here before our show at The Bell House. Didn't get any pictures of the handrolls but they were so yummy we just kept ordering more. My favorites were the yellowtail and spicy salmon. The daigo bowl (pictured) was also very fresh. Would definitely return.
