Had an amazing time dining in here. Food was amazing quality. LOVE the sampler option for appetizers. And the service was even better, had Sophia as our server and she was so polite and personable and really made this a memorable experience. Still full writing this but I can’t wait to come back.
I didn't like this place's food. Service was fine quick and friendly, but the tomato sauce was bland, and the meat balls had way too much bread and the eggplant was sliced too thin with too much breading. Kid liked it fine however and the pizza was good
Service was great! The staff is extremely friendly, and attentive. The moment you arrive, they bring a fresh bread basket. The food is delicious, large portions. We ordered chicken parmesan, ziti with meatballs and the Margarita pizza. All the dishes were wonderful and the pizza was thin and crispy. Highly recommend!
Have eaten at the restaurant many times, but never catered until this past weekend. Ordered six half-trays of assorted foods ( baked clams, stuffed shells, combo trio, eggplant parm, steak pizzaola, chicken Marsala). Had concerns about how much was in the trays and if it would be enough for 11 people, and if it would get across to the other side of Brooklyn and still be hot. Should not have worried. There was more than enough food for double the amount of people we had (everyone took home aluminum containers of food) and everything was piping hot. Of course the best part was their delicious focaccia bread which arrived (3 giant loaves) in a pizza box. All special request were honored (using less salt, as well as everything we needed on the side; hot pepper, extra sauce, ketchup, etc.) serving pieces and set ups were included).
Nice Italian restaurant in the heart if Park Slope Brooklyn. Everything we tried was sooo good we ate here 3x on vacation. Pizza was great, pasta was fresh, service was fast. Definitely delicious and a must try.
Great service, great food the only reason why I deducted a star were a combination of the restroom, to much browning lettuce in the salad with some not so good pieces but was starving. Great bread, great specials and big portions. We were a table of six and we had excellent service even though the kitchen was getting slammed with delivery orders. Highly recommend especially for families.
I visited Da Nonna Rosa in February 2022 for dinner. I was there with eight friends and family members to celebrate my birthday so the staff certainly had their work cut out for them. And they absolutely rose to the occasion. Service was attentive from the jump.We ordered tons of appetizers to share among the table and all were delicious. Everyone loved their entrees, too. One minor service hiccup is that my pizza came out about five minutes after the other entrees. Our waitress was apologetic and proactively took the pizza off our bill. I certainly wasn't expecting that but it was very nice to see that sort of customer service.The portion sizes were generally quite large and the food was reasonably priced considering we are in New York City. The only service letdown was that our waitress was a bit slow in bringing us our check; we had to flag her down for that. But that was truly the only issue.All in all, I had a great experience at Da Nonna Rosa and would absolutely recommend it, especially for big parties.
Delicious menu with great selections, great wait staff and generous portions. Some of the best pizza in the city. Gets a little crowded at dinner but that is to be expected.
Great place! Food was extremely delicious ?The bread basket they had was great and we ordered their meatballs as an appetizer. They’re big but no complaints there, delicious and went great with the bread!Dinner size portions are big, enough to take home for lunch the next day. I had the carbonara with homemade gnocchi and it was delicious! The others at my table had the Caesar salad with chicken, rigatoni bolognese and chicken martini with a small portion of spaghetti in garlic and oil. They all enjoyed their meals too!The staff there were also great, friendly and attentive!Definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area ?
Dropped in for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Nice selection of slices and a very good namesake salad. A very comfortable spot where we rested tired feet for awhile. Friendly people, a nice welcoming atmosphere and good food. A keeper.
