The food was good. Our server was kind. The manager who first checked our reservation and showed us to our table was not. He had us waiting for over 5 minutes(which makes sense because it was busy), just walked up and pointed to our table and said "there" after I told him my name. The way he just pointed to our table casually just didn't feel sincere or professional ini anyway. Made me feel like he didn't want us here. The way he treated my group just felt a rude and impolite. Not something I experience in most restaurants. But the atmosphere and interior were very beautiful.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Spent a week in NYC and went here twice. The manager was great. Chatted with him about wine quite a bit as he was very knowledgeable. Enjoyed pasta dishes both times. My son like the steak.

Service was attentive and helpful. I really enjoyed that they timed the courses out perfectly. A pet peeve of mine is when they bring all the dishes at once.Highly recommended if you love pasta and seafood!!

Convivium is an elegant European country inn -- but it's in Brooklyn. It has great atmosphere, including a private wine cellar. The food is wonderful, with Italian, Spanish and Portugese influences. Wine selections are hard to find and desired varitials, that complement the cuisine. Has a great low-key vibe.

The menu is limited, which makes you think the quality of the small amount of dishes they offer will be great, but the price to quality ratio just isn’t it. The staff is nice, but they are a bit anxious, and the food is meh at best. Definitely not worth it! I dont how or why people are claiming otherwise, and how the restaurant is michelin recommended.

Delightful menu. Decent wines. Charming setting. Attentive staff. Not your run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, this one is modeled on those found in the old country. And it's just become my new favorite, in NYC.

Was looking forward to a warm, cozy Christmas dinner and was surprisingly disappointed by the staff when I requested to change tables. The first choice was to sit in the basement to eat. When I refused, I was shown to table upstairs that was very tight with other tables and facing a wall. With the new variant, it seemed very uncomfortable and unnecessary. I asked to be seated at a round table behind us and was told no. I asked again and was again told no. I was very surprised at the refusal to accommodate with the current COVID situation. I would never try here again with such an attitude towards not making the customer happy, when it was so easy to do so.

I went here to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday party. We ate outside under the heat lamp and that was fine temperature-wise. Menu was creative and food was uniformly delicious. I had the Farro salad, the Ravioli with Green Apple and other flavors, and the Tiramisu. My friends also enjoyed the Flourless chocolate cake and the slice of pine nut pie. My only criticism was that the wait staff auctioned the items when they came to the table to deliver the food and drinks -- and that is unacceptable in my book.

The place is cozy and the wine is good but the service and food leave much to be desired. Highlights for us include ordering the “special” lasagne which came to us ice cold and then when we told our server and sent it back, he just heated it and re-served us the same one (that we’d had on our plate etc). You would think they’d just serve us a new one? Nothing less appetizing than seeing something cut up and moved around being brought back to your table. We also were offered water about twice through the night and constantly had to flag down waitstaff for it. Then to top it off, a member of our dining party ordered a tea that was also cold and had to be sent back. Don’t waste your money!
