Atmosphere was great, service was nice, but food was really mediocre, even more so for the price. Our hot pot fish was barely cooked, the chicken had a weird taste, and the vegetables were hard to chew. The beef had great texture and tenderness, but the flavor was lacking. The overall experience was underwhelming
酸菜鱼 is very fresh. Like the decoration, vibe and service. Overall, this place is good but probably won’t go out of my way from queens to eat here.
This place is a Sichuan cuisine GEM! Granted, its its in Sunset Park where you could probably throw a rock and hit a good chinese restaurant. They have a pretty extensive menu and even with six people, we felt like we were missing out on a few items. Thankfully calmer heads prevailed and we didnt over order which tends to be the case especially with larger groups.CTX is a great option for a taste of Sichuan even if you don’t live in the area, besides the dishes pictured (salted egg yolk tofu and mala grouper), their chongqing pepper chicken and garlic peashoots were great.
Food was good not great. Paid $85 for two lunch. Setting is nice. Music selection is good and at perfect sound volume. The desk and seats are not very comfortable but not bad.
I’m struggling with this review because the food is outstanding. However, it’s been our Jewish Christmas tradition for 2 years now and each time it’s clear they accepted way more orders than they can handle and had to wait well over an hour for my food, they were out of pea shoots, and they forgot all the rice. And this is after scheduling pickup 4 hours in advance! Still…the food is outstanding especially the mapo tofu and the hot spicy chicken tender set and the string beans.

Cold weather needs something spicy. Flavorful and good. I’d recommend if you never tried. This particular night was crazy but waits isn’t that long. Enjoy enjoy
Pretty tasty! Good portion sizes and the food was yummy, we really liked the Chengdu noodles and the greens. Not sure if they dumbed down spice level for us but I’d ask them to make it fiery hot if that’s your speed!
Really authentic Szechuan food!
Good food. But I give them 3 star ⭐️ just because they don’t let me seat inside of the restaurant for dinner. Just because I don’t have my card vaccine ??? if you are from other states and visiting this place make sure bring your vaccine card.
