Picked up food from here recently. Ordered Sundubu, Kimchi cream udon, and jeyuk bokkeum. Sundubu & Kimchi cream udon were excellent - udon was creamy with a good number of battered shrimp. Sundubu tasted authentic, filled with Kimchi and tofu. The loser was the jeyuk, normally one of my favorite Korean dishes. The veggies and flavor were up to standard, but the pork itself tasted old, which kind of ruins the dish overall. Despite this, the rest of the food was good enough to warrant future visits
Staff were super friendly and place was clean. Food was good. I recommend the creamy kimchi udon - nice chewy noodles and not spicy. The galbi was yummy too, as per usual - can't go wrong with it. The seafood pancake was pretty good too.
Really yummy, affordable, with fast and friendly service. Japche, kimchi fried rice, and kimchi fries were all delicious. Would definitely return and recommend this cozy spot!
first time trying the bibimbap, the taste is delicious ? very friendly staff ??
As a Korean person who normally insists on taking the trip to Flushing (not even K-town) for truly authentic Korean food, ChinGoo surprisingly did not disappoint. I had a long day at work today and suddenly felt an intense craving for Korean comfort food, but didn't have energy to travel too far. So I decided to give ChinGoo a shot even though I was really skeptical at first. Admittedly the portions were smaller than what I'm used to -- I guess I wouldn't expect otherwise in Williamsburg -- but the guys at ChinGoo do NOT skimp on flavor. Most of the Korean restaurants in Brooklyn are typically catered towards white people, but one slurp of the kimchi soondubu, and both my man and I said "Oh my god" in absolute awe. Delightfully spiced, garlicky, and packed with smokey umami. It was better than my mom's. (Sorry, umma.)
This is a great place, good flavours with their food and prompt service.I recommend the Pork Bao for the appetizers.I look forward to coming back and trying more of the dinner items.
Really great authentic Korean food with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent service. This is my girlfriend and I's go-to dinner date restaurant and we will be coming here many more times in the future!
Wanted to try something different & found them on Grubhub. Food arrived on time and hot. I ordered Kimchi Fries (tasty) and seafood pancake (nom nom). I was very pleased.
Great spot to enjoy Korean food, we loved everything we ordered! And the price was quite reasonable for the quality:)
I enjoyed some short rib with my family. Food came out hot and fresh and we loved it. 5 start experience
