Top taco joint. Authentic af.
Ordered Shrimp mexican style, Shrimp was over cooked almost dry and the portion of rice and beans was little, avocado was barely edible. I tried calling the store twice and they did not answer, they knew I was going to be upset with what I received, inconceivable. Not worth it, DON'T order camarones a la mexicana not worth $20
Looks like a total dump of a bodega at first glance but they have freaking delicious mexican restaurant in the back! Get the “tacos placeros”. Only place in nyc i have ever seen them on a menu ... theyre huge and delicious!
I’m from California and this place is a godsend - the torta is where it’s at! They also have a great selection of imported snacks that are hard to find elsewhere
I found this place on Google maps just searching for a quick bite to eat on our way to prospect park. It looked like a bodega when you walked in, but the restaurant is actually in the back.We were seated and given menus right away by a waitress, even though the restaurant was buzzing with movement because of the bustle of the lunch rush. The waitress was patient as I practiced my Spanish while ordering. We got the carne asada sopes (which I'd never had before), tacos (3 for about $10) and a cheeseburger with fries. 3 bottles of cokes washed it all down. They served beers, jarritos and horchata too though.Everything was delicious! Even/especially the fries. Our food took a while to come out, but again the lunchtime rush was in full effect when we walked in the door.Zero complaints with this spot, even the salsa was on point!
I ordered delivery but never received my food. Called the restaurant after waiting 1.5 hours and they told me their delivery driver had already picked up my order to make the delivery and that after that it was out of their hands whether I got my food or not. The delivery person never arrived or attempted to contact me. It's a shame because I've ordered from here before and the food was okay.
Nachos and chilaquiles are to die for, the waitress doesn’t seem to have enough experience to check up on customers though.

Their chilaquiles are soo full of flavor compared to other places - I 100% recommend them from this spot
Real authentic Mexican food. The Horchata!!! And the portions are good.
