You may have to drive around for a while until you find parking. On Sunday's, you don't have to pay for parking. The staff is both friendly, and attentive. The drinks are on point. I enjoyed the Smoke & Migos drink. They light it on fire, leaving it with a smokey taste. It is very unique in taste. They also have a Harry Potter shot drink that they light on fire. It's okay, but great for video, and picture purposes. They also light that drink on fire. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Lobster Rangoon. It is light with a little kick to it, but an excellent choice. I also recommend the Mac & Cheese with added Oxtails. I had the Mango Chimichurri Skirt Steak with Mash Potatoes, and Broccoli. All my food choices were very good. I definitely wasn't disappointed. Be aware though; even for a party of two, they include 20% gratuity.
If I could leave 0 stars I would and honestly that hurts my heart to say because I drove 3 hours from jersey to get there and I love supporting black owned businesses. First to start they sat us outside in a little outdoor area they created and it was not the cleanest. It smelled like a Portal Potty which was not pleasing because of the reasons I choose this place was because of the ambiance indoors after watching Tik Tok. It took 30 mins for them to even come and ask us what we would like to drink. Next after ordering our drinks and food it took them an additional 30 mins to bring the drinks …. And it was only lemonade btw. I still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I decided to wait until the food come out to really form an opinion of them. THE FOOD TOOK SO LONG THAT WE WERE ABLE TO WALK GO INSOMNIA COOKIE TO GET SOMETHING TO HOLD US OVER by the time we got back they had finally brought the food out and it was not what I expected. I ordered The jerk chicken and it was not good at all. It was salty and dry. The rice smelled like they used to much coconut milk. My sister and her boyfriend had the oxtail Rasta pasta and the oxtails were sweet which she didn’t like. There was also not enough sauce to coat the pasta it was really dry. My boyfriend had the chimichurri steak with mash and broccoli and he could only eat the steak. I’ve never seen mash potatoes taste like that. We barely ate any of the food. I ordered the jerk wings and oxtail Mac for Appetizers and they didn’t come out until the very end when I asked for the bill therefore I sent it back. I am highly disappointed in this establishment. Like my feelings are genuinely hurt because I had really high expectations. I also wasted $250 on food I didn’t even eat. I would not recommend. Not to top that by the time she brought the plastics utensils to the table our food was COLD,
First time here for brunch. Small but cute establishment. Service was a tad slow but forgiven due to there being only one server. Had the French Toast with turkey bacon. Washed it down with a Pear Rosemary Bellini. Drinks were good and food was delicious. Bathroom was very clean. Gratuity already included in check so pay attention when signing unless you plan on adding additional. Only gripe was the music was way too loud and had to shout to have a conversation.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! PERSONALLY, I MADE A RESERVATION AND I'D ADVISE DOING SO. THE DRINKS ARE GOOD AND PACKED WITH A PUNCH. THE MIXOLOGY MAKES FOR A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I SUGGEST THE WRAY AND GUAVA CAULIFLOWER WINGS. IT'S HARD TO FIND TASTY FOOD, SO WHENEVER I'M IN BK AROUND THE BARCLAY CENTER, I ALWAYS STOP BY.
Had me the Rasta Pasta with chicken. The pasta alone is amazing right amount of spice and cheese. Chicken cooked to perfection. love the art and atmosphere. Cocktails and drink list seems unlimited. They even do drinks off the menu had me a Harry Potter
I've had this place saved as "Want to go" for a while and im glad my coworkers were down to come experience this place with me. Black owned!? We had reservations for 515pm. Got seated and orders were placed. Drinks came but no food. It got to around 630 that we had to ask wassup. And that was only for the appetizers. Might as well order more drinks! Our orginal waiter finally came to let us know there was a party going on in the back and our food order got mixed up.Now I understand we were there long, food order mix up, it's getting later in the evening and other customers are coming in but don't rush to give up the bill. We barely got the proper service but now you rushing us out.The only one that was attentive to us was Sabrina.Overall, the food and drinks were great! I will definitely come back, maybe during the week and not a weekend.
The Brunch and the drinks were excellent! Food came out hot. My drink was from the reviewers drink list. The people didn't lie, the ? we're good. I just didn't really care for the shots. The waitress was very attentive. I would have gave 5 stars but due to the lack of heat that's why. It was cold in there!
Came here while I was visiting with some friends. We ordered the bottomless mimosas for drinks, of course. Then we had mac&cheese, steak, jerk chicken, plantains. The service was amazing. The only part that sucked was parking. Keep in mind that you are in the heart of the city here in Brooklyn.
Came on a Wednesday and was surprised by how packed this quaint restaurant was.Food was OK but we really had to take off one star for the service. Again, it was packed and it was only one waiter so she had a lot of tables to deal with. I believe she could have handled things better by writing stuff down. The drinks were also leaving a bit to be desired and that was my main attraction to this restaurant. We had four different ones and none seemed to be that effective. That being said, the restaurant has a lot going for it so I will be trying it again to make sure I didn’t catch them on a bad night. Maybe will go to brunch instead.
I guess asking to have mayo and mustard withheld for food allergy offended your chef. A disgusting mayo mustard mixture was slathered on BOTH sides of my burger. Waste of money. Food is awful. Shame on you.
