NEVER AGAIN. The staff is acting like you owe them something. Rude, unprofessional and arrogant… We had a reservation, they took us to the table, after few minutes someone comes to take us from that table because they have another reservation for that table…we were with a baby, already in the high chair… After they made us wait… Beside the pizza, the food that we took was not acceptable for such restaurant. Location is good, food less than decent, service really bad.

They didn’t acknowledge our special occasion. Very loud.

First time dinning here and it was so good. We had the pizza and pasta and both were delicious. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, outdoor dinning is just as nice. Would absolutely dine here again and recommend to folks. Make a reservation before going on the weekend, it gets busy and walk-ins had a 2hr wait.

Great food and great service. Pizza was amazing !

The view cannot be beat - it was a perfect day to be outside on the Brooklyn waterfront. The food was fine - tasty but rather mediocre, nothing particularly outstanding. Where things fell apart was the service. Our waiter was very nice, but we warned him that we were placing a rather large order and it might be good to write it down. He assured us he'd get it all right and he just didn't. Dishes were missing, drinks were wrong, etc. Service was also a bit slow/clumsy. Our water glasses were empty for the first 30 minutes of the meal. A friend accidentally spilled a bit of her coffee and it took such a long time to get napkins and they didn't even offer to refill the coffee (which is pennies on the dollar). Ultimately, if you come here, you're paying a hefty premium for the view because the food and service will be average, at best. Just depends on whether view and the location is worth it to you.

The food was great and the outdoor ambiance spectacular. However, the restrooms were disgusting. I understand it’s the end of the night but come on a quick clean up would do wonders especially when there is no toilet paper in all the stalls expect one.

First time for my son in NYC

The ambience is great if you are outdoors, which is the best way to enjoy this place, as the food is just so so and a bit overpriced. Been here many times, but this time the staff was remarkably courteous to us as we overstayed the until-the-end undisclosed house rule of a two-hour time limit on tables, although we always noted there were empty tables. You dont go here for the food (there’s the River Cafe and Luke’s Lobster nearby for that). The patio setting is utterly wonderful three seasons a year, with heat lamps in the fall. Throw in a gaiety factor from the delightful human parade through the park just beyond the patio fence.

Restaurant had updated prices on the final check but it was not reflected on menu.

Met an old friend who was visiting from overseas. Was looking for a special location to relax, talk, have some great food and experience the sights of NY. Cecconil’s checked all the boxes. A perfect day. I even felt like a tourist for a few hours. A nice change after several years of Covid confinement. Well done!
