Maybe French food isn't for us, but I have definitely had better. The food was well presented and the staff were helpful which was lovely.Unfortunately, we just didn't feel like the second course ( the duck) met our expectations. It was tender but straight up bland.NOW, with that being said, the desert was amazing.
FRENCH WANABIES ! (Or: If I would be a restaurant critic- the place would be closed). The only French things about the place are the name on the sign and linen napkins. Pretending at it’s grandeur for the relatively food unsophisticated locals. Starting with the Menu : Since when Shakshuka is a dish of “ratatouille with eggs”? Hm….? But to be honest , a Lonely quiche took a stronghold for the “frenchness” of this joint . Another thing : No self respected French cook would serve eggbeaters as a scrambled eggs. ( even in a pretty white ceramic boat) For a hefty $18! The cherry on top , was the pepper shaker ! There was none available on the table , so we had to request. The server brought one and immediately dropped it on the floor ( by accident) Without even “ sorry!” , she slapped it on the table in front of us. I had to wipe it off with the only French item around- the linen napkin. Tourists ! Please AVOID ! Rude and food not good .
I got the artichoke salad and it was fine - tasted good but salty, and it was nothing that exciting, just artichoke, some greens, and heavy dressing. Overall I am disappointed that the vegetarian options lack protein (except for the beyond burger, which as a vegetarian I am not looking to eat something that tastes like meat). The service was polite and it’s nice they have so much outdoor seating, but I would not return until they add better vegetarian protein options.
Had a nice little brunch date here and we loved it.The waffle was so good, not too sweet, but just right with the fruit on top. The croque monsieur was also delicious. Everything was just the right amount to fill us up without being too much. We'll definitely be coming back for more.
Food was incredible. I had the oysters and a mixed cheese and meat board. Also the passion fruit sorbet for dessert was exquisite.
Cute cafe with a cozy interior and a lot of outdoor seating. It’s not closed off so it is definitely exposed to the elements but the outdoor heaters do help.Service was super kind. Prices were very reasonable. Standard brunch fare ?We came for brunch and many an eggs Benedict and ratatouille shakshukas were ordered. Shakshuka was a little bit spicy, which I appreciated!
had the omelette and latte. Let me tell you, that was one of the best Lattes i’ve ever had. Top 5 for sure. The Omelette? delicious and simple. how it should be.What else do w have to talk about?
We had a lovely dinner at this French cafe in Brooklyn. It was very busy and we had to make do with a rather makeshift table in one of those footpath structures brought in to cater for pandemic life, but it wasn't too bad. The food was very good indeed and I thought the meals were fairly priced. They were centered around the $30 mark and they were proper meals which came with accompanying dishes, not just a main item on its own. Be warned, however, the wine list is quite expensive so check it out before you order too much.
Very nice spot, the service was on point thank you nikilika for all the attention. The muscles were delicious. And my burger was awesom.
Loved the brunch here. Perfect interior, super friendly staff, hip crowd and very tasty meals.
