Such an underrated eat! The food here is to die for! French cuisine is their specialty, and they execute it flawlessly, not a single dish that our party ordered wasn't perfect. The wait staff and servers are all extremely kind and will have you seated and ready with appetizers and drinks in no time. The theme is also extremely cozy and well composed, with live music even being played for diner's enjoyments. 10/10!
Service was perfect. Ana was attentive and did not rush us in anyway. The owner, Eric, wanted to make sure that everything we ordered was prepared perfectly. It was easy to tell hat only fresh high quality ingredients were used. The atmosphere of the bistro makes you feel as if you are in Paris. We definitely look forward to coming back again and will try to return on a night when they have music.
Had the Beef Brisket and it was so good. The gravy not salty nor was the beef. The coffee was excellent as always and my friends had the Croque Madame and the Salmon Benedict and they loved it. The food is really, really superb and I always bring my friends to Le Mistral for a great meal.
Good French bistro. Excellent steak frites and magret de canard. Great winelist.
The croque madam and it was EXCELLENT and the green salad was delicious as well (you can have fries which are also good, but opted out of that choice, had too many fried items lately). The sandwich was toasted perfectly and the Sunnyside egg was cooked perfectly as well. The meal was so satisfying and filling, I didn't have dinner. The coffee was excellent, usually drink 3 cups, put Le Mistral's coffee blend is strong and very smooth and only need to drink one cup! The wait staff was attentive and very nice. The new keyboard musician played a variety of music from Jazz to standards. The price for the meal was work every cent, the food quality was top notch. I highly recommend this Bistro for anyone wanting to eat out, can't wait till my next visit.
The food wasn’t as good as the first couple of times we were here, and they were very inflexible with the menu (we wanted a few berries on a crepe, and to do so had to buy an entire side for $12). We also paid $6 per cup of coffee (including refills). May try to give it one more shot, but we were disappointed.
Superb! Made my 5 year anniversary unforgettable. The owner says that he wants to treat everyone like family and he really does. I booked this as a special evening for my 5 year anniversary. Open Table messed it up a little bit so the owner did everything possible to make it an unforgettable night. The food is excellent. I have never had steak cooked so well.
Had a great outdoor brunch experience here over the weekend with a friend. We split a yummy vegie omelette and some superior french toast. The service was excellent and we wound up staying much longer than expected.
Terrible experience. Made a reservation with open table, provided my phone number and email address. When came to the restaurant it was closed due to some maintenance. Person who great us at the place knew about my reservation but was so ignorant and did not call or emailed about the place being closed. I end up spending 40 min in traffic to get there for nothing and thereafter looking for a new place to eat. Terrible service!
I have been coming to this place since its opening a few years back, I am very familiar with their food, their quality and the service. I am also a real foodie, who travelled around the world and tried different cuisines and flavors, so yes: I am the right person to write an objective review of this place. This is a real gem in the neighborhood (for not saying in the whole world - you probably wouldn't believe me, although it's true).Let's start with the food: food is just great. You have a good selection of land and sea and everything is cooked just right. The chef pays so much attention to the combination of flavors and presentation as well that I have never been disappointed. I do have my own go to plates, but I also like trying more seasonal or special dishes which are always available.Selection of wine is extensive. If you want some special bottles not on the menu, just ask and they may have it. Being a French restaurant, wine selection is mostly French, but they also have some other high quality wines, like Italian or Californian..Ambience is just perfect. Classy, elegant and sophisticated at the right point. Nothing is overdone, the atmosphere is very spontaneous and genuine. You really feel to be in a classy French bistro that nothing has to envy to more famous french restaurant in the city.Customer service is impeccable. Anastasia as well as Anna and the other servers are always ready to treat you with their great personality. I have always felt cuddled every time I go to cafe mistral.Last but not least: Eric, the owner. He really puts so much passion and care into his business. He is the perfect host, always ready to treat his customers and to share stories about food, travels, and experiences.I am sad Anthony Bourdain is not with us anymore, otherwise he would loved cafe le mistral!Go and enjoy this place. Cheers :-)
